RE: Onwards and Upwards , a Positive Black Swan Effect coming?24 Jul 2023 15:23
After a big move up - and it was a huge one to be fair, it's going to take a while for it all to be worked off. I think that's what we are seeing now. The next move up or down might happen on news, but not necessarily so. As stated, most of the news is out there in some form and all we will get now is mostly confirmation of what is already out there?
The next move - up or down - is as likely to be a technical one, as it is to be a RNS/news driven one. By that I mean, if the share price breaks above 9.5p, then that will fuel its own buying. Equally, if there is another shakeout to test 'weaker hands', by taking it down to 8.5 (or even 8.3p), it all depends on whether strong buying emerges at that level. There ought to be in that scenario, because there has been strong buying in the 9s, so you would expect 'stronger hands' at the ready if it drops to the 8s.
It's the psychology that's key here. In that the market (inc all of us) just needs a signal that this is indeed a continuation pattern in an uptrend, rather than some kind of top. If or once it gets that, we should see the start of the next leg up. For me, that signal will be for the bid to rise to 9.5p, and we get a decent volume breakout from that level. The only question is whether there might be an attempted shakeout first? I would have thought that the MM will be happy to take it up when ready. After all, don't they make more money from trading volume, and therefore have a vested interest in the continuation of a strong trend from now into September? All imo and dyor
