Yes it does feel like share price is getting ready to breakout.

We need to know more about "ongoing discussions". How far advanced are these discussions, have basic terms been negotiated, are they working to a timescale (with exploration season in mind) etc, etc. As I have said before, knowing what's coming down the road here and when, is essential missing information for shareholders to work out whether this Landstead deal is going to be spiral or stairway.

So if they really believe this is a good deal for ORR, why don't they come out and do a Q&A on it?

We should also try to understand whether and what this deal suggests about the likelihood of these other deals actually materialising. The share price showed that it had the ability to trade in the 0.2s in ANTICIPATION of the Canadian Bank investment. If that is close, upon announcing it, would the share price not have then made its next rise? And would ORR not have then been able to get a placing away (if rumours are true that this was their preferred option but there was not interest in it).

The fact that they have done this deal with Landstead, does it suggest that the Canadian investment is not 'secure', noting also that it missed its initial deadline of Q2, and the fact that 5/6 months to secure £1 million from an investment bank does seem like a very long time?

Are we still putting this down to backlog/delay at the FCA, or are there issues that need resolving. So much hinges on the Prospectus (including the financing), and because of the time it is taking, I think it's important to hear more from RM today about why the process is taking this long, whether it is anything to worry about or just 'standard' and how much longer he thinks it will take? I recall him saying at the start of the year that it would be done by February! In fact, I recall that GCAT submitted a Prospectus in Summer 2022 - and not sure what happened to that one either!

Thanks Tray - well summarised and with a lot of logic and analysis to it. POW does seem like it should be the longer term horizon investment pot, and then each IPO is considered on its own individual merits, in terms of whether and when to additionally invest into any single one of them.

Making me think that GMET's success will be reflected more in its own share price than it will in POW's - making me more inclined to get exposure to the Tungsten upside by investing directly in GMET, than through POW? (Of course I appreciate that POW has so much more/else going for it and so its not a straightforward POW v GMET comparison, but just wondering whether on success scenarios, the spinout vehicles will always outperform the parent company in terms of relative upside?)

How are you guys approaching GMET? Are you investing directly into GMET, or via POW? It's a tricky one this, because whilst POW has the majority stake and would be the vehicle to choose for that reason, this might be lost on the market, and so as an when GMET starts to gain traction and attraction (here and in the US), and all else being equal, I can see most of the buying coming from its shares rather than POW's?

If a number of others have taken from the Q&A that big things are going to happen in the next 2-3 months, then I'm not going to argue against that interpretation (even though I don't share it). It's not a long time to wait, so let's see whether and what actually happens during this period. I'm certainly expecting the DFS to land in this period, but its not enough to get me excited and invested, because I also expect the next placing to land in this period and negate or reverse any positive momentum generated by the DFS. Financing would indeed be massive, but I honestly got no sense at all that its even remotely close. I will go back and listen to what she said about Thar coal reserves though, as most of my focus was on the green projects.

Lol, if you're going to have another pop, at least try to make it logical rather than completely non sensical. How on earth have I missed out on any opportunity here - the share price is trading near its all time lows, and so the opportunity hasn't even started! I've read some funny stuff on here, but that has to go down as one of the best.

Thanks both. Bres DFC grant news could land as early as next week (according to some posters). If or when it does, I will post on here about its impact, because it will have relevance to GMET (POW) who are after a similar grant, but obviously at the start of the grant process - which if Bres is anything to go by, is not a quick process!

Under this deal then, it would seem that the TIMING of good newsflow could or will become a key factor in whether it turns out to be 'death spiral' rather than 'stairway to heaven'. Because payments have to be made each month, then if that means Landstead will always look to sell shares each month, and there isn't demand for them (because there isn't positive newsflow and sentiment that month), then the share price goes down.

So I guess it ultimately depends on whether the BOD are about to take ORR into a period of share price sustaining newsflow and create that stairway, failing which, it will be the spiral that opens up here?

Is that basically the equation and situation here?

I totally agree with this statement and I think this very concisely sets it out. I don't have confidence in the CEO and do not think these value points are "near", or that she even gave an indication of that. But I understand that others do have confidence in her and do believe value points are near. That's fair enough, so I don't see why it has to get so personal. Time will tell of course which of these viewpoints was correct, and I will watch closely what happens in the rest of 2023 to see if these value points were indeed reached. And if I am wrong, and there are lots of times when I am, then it will be a good lesson and no big deal. Some you win, most you lose, especially on AIM?

Tiggrr - yes GMET is the IPO that interests me the most as well. If they get a non dilutive grant from the US Govt, that will be a real lift off moment I suspect (which is not to say that it won't arrive without it). I've invested in AIM listed Bres for similar reasons, as they are seemingly close to securing such a grant - worth following that story even if you're not invested in it or interested in Bres, simply to see what could happen if (or when?) GMET gets a similar grant. All imo and dyor

HeimlichIII - to be honest, I've found myself switching between (a) and (b). Started to lose faith in (b) and therefore more inclined towards (a). But to be fair, it's not my role to warn others, as we are all adults, and each responsible for ourselves and nobody else, and I'm no Samaritan. But in discussing this and any other share, if I feel negative towards it, then I don't hold back. It's the same if I feel very positive. At the end of the day, this is an open and public discussion board, and I am entitled to my views. If people disagree, they are entitled to theirs. We can agree to disagree. And if people really don't like my posts, they can just hit filter. I've used that facility with one or two on here myself.

The name calling and personal attacks don't wash with me either. As I've demonstrated over several months now, I will post on here if I feel like it and whenever I feel like it. It's a shame that others have to resort to personal attacks - usually a sign of having lost the argument.

But as I've said, I'm not going to labour my point about near term prospects here. We've had the QA and I have posted my response to it and 'debated' and 'disagreed' with a few others on here about it. And I've left it as "let's wait and see" what happens. If I'm wrong, I will be the first to acknowledge it.

Slowly - those are excellent posts and you have saved me (and no doubt many others) a lot of time and aggro in having to figure out the 'mechanics' of the deal for ourselves. It was me that suggested 40 companies, and I took that from their website. But they referred to them as "equity placings" and therefore it is entirely possible that not all will have involved the same type of arrangement as on here.

But for any that were, it would be interesting to see how Lanstead "played" those, in terms of selling or sticking, and whether there is a pattern or MO in their approach - notwithstanding that we aren't comparing apples with apples.

Look, there's little to be gained by arguing the toss here. Regulars on this BB will know that I have always been very sceptical. So it's not like I am saying anything new. I was willing to go along with this punt when Naheed spoke about "value" being returned soon, and LTH on here suggesting that binding agreements would be reached by end of 2023. But after listening to this latest Q&A, its clear to me that its going to be more dilution being returned here, rather than value. Or more dilution before any value. And I don't see anything good or worth getting excited about in that as an investor at this moment in time.

But let's see. I'm just a retail investor and my view carries no more weight than anyone else's. And if others believe the opposite with equally strong conviction, then fair enough. That's what BB are for. Time will tell.

When the SP gets decimated but the potential is massive" - well, I clearly see the share price decimation, but I don't see the massive potential. I see big talk and massive projects on paper, but no massive potential of them becoming reality.

"It's called a high risk punt" - I agree with you there, but I think this is a punt that has already failed, rather than a new one to take, or one that might still come off. When the GH project was announced two years ago (or close to), one might have taken a punt on it back then. But what has transpired in those two years would suggest to me that its not going to be a successful punt, unless you are trading it. The spiral of dilution, lack of binding progress and lack of any reliable indication of binding progress should tell you that.
