JP - this drilling campaign has been a few years in the making already. They have done LOADS of prep work, including before DC came on board more recently. So it's about time they drilled the KCB. PB have now put £9 million into KAV, and I am sure they will want to see a return on their investment soon. So KAV have to get moving now and deliver for PB.

It's so much better to have a 3 month campaign with two Rigs on the ground, than have to wait 8 months. The latter also actually costs more, as there is more cash burn along the way, as BT explained. This also allows them to decide where future resources are best deployed - gold or copper or both.

Yes, BT said they were looking to have assay results in Q3. And seeing as most of the funding is now coming from Purebond, I don't think there will be any such tactical considerations going forwards.

This is classic GCAT. They issue a RNS in March which updates as follows: "The audit work is in the final phase..."

Now in May and it actually transpires, and only after an email to the CEO, that the auditors haven't actually done all that much work in March and April, and have cast some doubt on the company's previous reporting by requesting independent verification of parts of it.

Why would auditors slow down when they are in the final phase and the company is suspended. Would they not be treating this as a priority audit? Do they simply not care about such?

Why does everything have to be so tortuous here. Is it just sheer bad luck, or something worse than that?

Clearly very large interests continue to accumulate and sell here. Maybe aiming to conclude their orders before news lands, and maybe Char is waiting for this as well?

I don't think it's lack of interest, but more to do with the fact that the bookbuild was not at a discount and so private investors could/can buy on open market (and for a little less). This is a tremendous show of conviction and confidence on the part of Purebond and the BOD. They are clearly feeling very confident indeed, and why shouldn't they with the progress and results achieved in Zim to date, and the major drilling programme planned with Dave Cattrall at the KCB to start this month. This was the perfect time and indeed price for them to inject the extra cash into KAV 2.0.

As BT said, the next 6 months are going to be the most exciting and potentially transformational for the company. All imo and GLA

Didn't BG say that the cost of drilling in Columbia is much less than it has been in the past? I'm sure I heard him say something to that effect in his recent interview.

The fact that people are creating new accounts to peddle the same ole negatives probably tells you all you need to know. That there is the usual concerted de-ramp in play here, ahead of the big news. Not very good de-ramping though and need some new material.

Is Sheffield's strategy to takeout CMET, and let LB do the heavy financial lifting at the project level? If LB do get their 50%, then Sheffield certainly aren't going to be happy with only 10%.

Well as a newish investor, and in any case, how much does the past matter? Nearly all the juniors across AIM have had their share prices decimated in recent years, but that doesn't stop them becoming great opportunities now. For example, before a lot of the current LTH bought OMI, it's share price fell from 13p to 1p. But that didn't then stop it going to 45p!

If BG does get this deal across the line, then all we have to decide is whether that sets this up for another big run this year? The past is irrelevant here, because he was also the CEO when this went on its last big run to 45p.

As someone who isn't a LTH, how exactly was BG responsible for the majors deciding to put the project into C&M (or indeed for them drilling in the wrong direction)?

PFG - decided to scale back in about two weeks ago. Still hesitant to go all in just yet, but to be honest, the large stake taken by Sheffield and their close contact with CMET does de-risk this, even without LB coming through. But let's see what happens as we get to the final few weeks of this exclusivity period.

Finally some anticipation - are we entering the runway for lift off at long last. If so, what do folk think this will re-rate to if they get this deal concluded?

Is it possible that Char itself is delaying any update to allow these HNW to complete their buying/selling at these levels. So that when the news lands the runway has been cleared for take off, or to look after these large interests? I know they are waiting for the Rig, and that's the official explanation for the delay, but they are still rather quiet nonetheless and so I just wondered.

We still have some large buyers/sellers active in this stock judging by some of the trades going through today.
