OMI "could" be one of the stocks of 2025, and has to be the pick of the junior goldies on AIM. Obviously, it's a results business and the talking will be done "on the pitch" as they say. Therefore, it's important to go for stocks that will be active throughout the year, and have projects that are exciting enough to get the crowds going. Here, with exciting drilling and results at PEPAS, resource work being done at APTA, a maiden drilling program at El Pantano in the works, relatively small float, and insti (plus HNW?) loading up, there really is a lot going for OMI in terms of creating that excitement, and sustaining a move up. So far, happy with the way it's consolidating it's recent rise, especially given the recent placing, warrants in the money, and not the best macros. That shows some strength in the stock.

With the newsflow coming up here, these are likely to be the cheapest prices we will get for 2025.

I expect the 2025 starting pistol to be fired next week. Hopefully with a RNS not just covering the latest PEP results, but also giving us updates across the board. Let's hope it's a brilliant start "on the pitch". GLA

He moaned that there were no tweets, then when there were tweets, moaned again😂 . Shows again that his agenda/bias is to just be negative for the sake of furthering his agenda on here when it comes to OMI, rather than being straight up. All imo

Depends on the depth of the holes, but I would say that's a reasonable assumption. So we might get PEP16 and 17 reported together next week?

All the warrants are or will be in the money as well. So if exercised then we should end up being fully funded for maiden drilling at El Pantano and/or one of the other prospects at Anza?

There has been a lot of mud slung at GEX since the IPO. With the TW stuff, the selling from large pre IPO holders, and delay to the permit, it has given the trolls a lot of ammo, silenced or made it difficult for the positive posters/LTH, and undoubtedly had an impact on the share price. I've used the opportunity to average down (but even then gone too early again), and obviously would have preferred to have accumulated at bottom prices in the first place!

The trolling is a guaranteed fact of life on these BB. Hardly any BB that I have posted on in the last 12 months has been free from trolling. Usually they spread FUD, which can only be because they are 1)shorting, 2)accumulating, 3) personality disordered and/or bored. A clue is often new accounts being setup specifically to target that share. This is what we are seeing in GEX right now for example. On the flip side, you also have an army of rampers. They probably emerge when they and/or their group has loaded up. They have lieutentants that you instantly recognise, such as Earl of Aim.

A few years back, there was a whistleblower who claimed to work in the city, who claimed that he and his colleagues would troll BB.

When i first started posting, I used to get wound up by the trolling, and take them on. I saw it as defending my investment. Now I realise how futile that is. You can't stop them, or prevent their impact. My attitude is that if I end up in a share that gets trolled, I just have to accept that. I put it down to bad timing. I now expect it to happen in over 50% of shares.

The site visit did not finish on 27 November. Hamilton made clear that certain members remained on site after he and others returned, so that they could complete their work. These members were then supposed to return to the office to complete their reports. They were unable to in time due to the adverse weather conditions. GEX published a photo showing their vehicle stuck in a badly flooded track. Even had they got the paperwork in time, they would not have been able to mobilise for drilling as it was unsafe. Hamilton made that clear. The troll with many names/accounts is just spreading the usual FUD. Been trolling for months now and won't stop until the permit is issued. But will soon run out of mileage.

That’s correct. Certain team members could not get back to the office in time to draft their reports before DEMIRS closed for Xmas. Those reports will have been completed by now and hopefully submitted.

We should get a RNS or interview to confirm that all the paperwork has been submitted and then it’s a 10-15 day countdown to get the permit. More patience required but within a month the drilling should start.

More than happy with how things are going so far. As we have discussed before, the longer it takes to get PEP16, or any other result, the more likely it will be high grade. The team might not be onsite just yet, so there might not be anything for BG to tweet. Also, I have no doubt that when the drilling recommences, BG will continue with the tweets. We now have insti's onboard who might well be continuing to accumulate, as they have been buying at these and higher prices.

So it's just a case of waiting for the next breakout from this consolidation.

Still at DFS stage. Starting drilling as part of that. Likely to finish DFS by summer. Then need major funding for development and production.

I've not yet had a chance to do any research for 2025, but its that time of year when you normally get plenty of recommendations from online share sites. From my existing 2024 watchlist, i'd say OMI (results dependant) and GEX (drilling permit news dependent) are my main Q1 2025 bets. I also have CMET for Q1, but they keep missing their own timescales for drilling, which can only be down to jurisdictional problems again, and looks like they might have been delayed again because drilling was supposed to start in December and no RNS so far.

For later in the year, all I have so far are BRES and (maybe) MATD?

With a 3 day turnaround it makes a difference if the lab closed on only 25/26 or remains closed into the new year?

By the 23, PEP16 was already with the lab.

BB has descended once again into egotistical nonsense. The bottom line is that the results will do the talking as always and settle all debates.

In any case, there is more than one way to trade a big move and the best method is the one that works for you. It’s not an exercise in synchronised swimming where we all have to trade in the same way. So a lot of the arguments on here are silly. Be content with your own approach or change it if you are not comfortable with it.

I’m sure I’m not the only one counting how many days PEP16 has been with the lab. Again the longer it takes to get reported, the more likely it will be another great hole. But of course we don’t know how many days the lab closes over Xmas.

You can't improve unless you look back in hindsight. A lot of the successful investors/traders call it journaling and swear by it.

I had a rule of "not sticking around for results" when it comes to O&G drills in particular. I stuck to this rule with HEX, and managed to sell at the top. But then only a few months later, I didn't stick to it when it came to Chariot, and took a hit as a result. When I look back in hindsight as to why, I think it's because:

1) With HEX, I got a near 150% rise into drilling, and therefore had a profit to protect (psychology). It was also an exploratory drill, so I viewed it as higher risk.

2) With Chariot, I didn't see a rise into drill and then thought it was a less riskly appraisal drill, and the rise would also come afterwards. I also had profits from earlier in the year, so thought why not take the risk. Ouch

This is what I mean about variables and being human. You can have rules, but you will often break them, because that's just human nature (greed, FOMO, etc).
