Excellent post fronterachecking. I am in complete agreement with your figures… thrown in the 40 carat stone and the large number of large stones and it will be interesting to see how high the final figure comes in at. I would suggest it could easily be above $50 mill ;)

Realistically acid boiling is not going to damage diamonds. Unless they were defective in the first place.

Alrosa’s large diamond auctions held in Antwerp, Dubai and Ramat Gan between May and June 2021 sold more than 400 lots weighing almost 6,600 carats for a total of $32.4 million ($4,909/carat). These auctions allowed clients to purchase goods they needed despite international travel restrictions, the miner said.

In Antwerp Alrosa sold 142 lots for $10.4 million to 25 companies from Belgium, Canada, India, Israel and UAE. In Dubai, 141 diamonds were sold for $10.7 million to 23 buyers from Belgium, India, Israel and UAE. In Ramat Gan, 123 diamonds were sold for $11.3 million to 38 companies from India and Israel.

They sold just 6,600 carats worth for $32m’
