You make a good point, marsw1. People like me, newbies coming here to learn, get put off joining in the chat by the antics of a small group of people who seem to live for a virtual punch up. The incessant tit for tat messages, usually between the same few suspects, make it difficult to find the good content. It's easy to get exasperated by it all and give in to the urge to snipe back, especially as a couple of them seem to think we can't see what they're doing, which is irritating - we're all humans! I do think factual inaccuracies should be challenged (although there's often little factual comment from these people) because they could mislead people like me (selfish! I know!) into making unwise, and costly, decisions. Other than that though, the same advice is true here as on the internet generally - don't feed the trolls.

Looking forward to seeing more of the many genuinely interesting posts from the peeps who really do want to share their info, thoughts and experiences with regard to investing!
