Excellent post. France announced yesterday they will NOT allow businesses to go bust due to COVID-19. So expect UK to send out the same message, and here it’s wholly applicable....they just need to sort them cheques out and make them null and void!

Well been in this game for many many years...and this does not look like a company going into admin, large investors don’t buy into company’s about to go bust especially when they’ve issues an RNS over this just days before!

What you see is major shareholders exiting before PIs...very strange and it would surprise me a little bit if this comes back very strong. Time will tell of course!

Now who on earth would make such a hugh purchase just before going into suspension?

Never seen this before on a stock about to go into admin, as these investors normally have enough knowledge and up to date info - especially considering the RNS last week..

I there is more to this than what meets the eye...could easily wake up tomorrow with these cheques being made null and void by the major shareholder now he wouldn’t want to put his years of reputation on the line..being a tycoon!

I’m seeing trades going through for FIN today, there is even one at 15:38 today...? It’s bizarre when the share is suspended..anybody know what’s going on??

Travelex owner Finablr has had its shares suspended by the financial watchdog after discovering $100m (£81m) of undisclosed cheques.

The cheques were written by the FTSE 250 payments group before its initial public offering (IPO) last May.

Finablr asked the Financial Conduct Authority to suspend its trading on the London Stock Exchange while it investigates the cheques, which it says may have been used as "security for financing arrangements for the benefit of third parties".

Advisory firm Kroll has been appointed to carry out an independent investigation into issues including related-party transactions and its off-balance sheet debt.

In a statement to investors, Finablr said: "As a result of the foregoing events, the board is unable accurately to assess the financial position of the company and there is a material uncertainty about the group's ability to continue as a going concern.

Hope the company seizes the opportunity here, with the current climate the product should be in monumental demand after FDA approval. They are testing against COVID-19 and if confirmed shortly, should see a major re-rate here...!

Also, ask yourself why would this be suspended..complete nonsense. They’ve confirmed after interval investigation NO fraud found, independent investigation a few weeks away and this should confirm the same....gla

Expecting this to open around 15p and then riding way north over 20p...so undervalued and oversold.

Too late, already had the big shakes in the afternoon...should have got in too late!

11.63 in ADVFN, but it will open way higher on mon...shorters out so clear way now for correction in the 20s.

Nevertheless it’s safe to say we are due an update early next week, it’s been a few weeks now since FDA RNS..
