@cw25: your maths [and I have done this many times with other calculations that don't make sense! and drives you crazy!] is that you are calculating from 2 differnet start points and trying to compare them.
"However, if was to buy through my F&S account and I would then have 110k shares @ an average of around 65p" is where your error is......
FORGET that you have £20k cash...... Instead frame that you have to 'cash in' some of your F&S SNG shares TODAY so with your original average you have already made a £1.50 gain on that £20k worth of shares WHICH you pay tax on..... Now simply compare for the 20k under consideration what Tax you pay on a double-ing of the share.
ISA is always TAX free. SO more profit on THAT 20k on its own. Your comparison does not work because you have more than £20k SNG in your F&S account so it looks like you are making 'more' money after tax but only because you are ignoring the £1.5 profit you have already made......
Hi dyna - its not necessarily the flexible aspect that makes them attractive to Mining [remote] locations - it's the weight.
1/6 [one sixth] of the weight of makes it very transportable compared to traditional panels. At 4kg / m2 the panels are lift-able by a single person. Compared to a remote diesel generator [and all the associated cost in maintenance and fuel] solar is now an attractive solution AND transportable.

Agree Short, I'm pretty relaxed but with an Avg of 0.16 - who wouldn't be!
I am in for the long term and HOLDING whatever. Basically I am not trading and just letting my investment ride whatever SP wave it rides so indifferent to its ups and downs....
That said, I can see why the SP faltered on the latest RNS releases and Webinar: the ‘news’ is all about what 'may be' not 'what is happening now' [apart from resource potential] and crucially not 'what commodities are currently being extracted for sale....... etc ‘
But, the news of what may be is a hook for me to HOLD and wait. I forgot to say on my previous post that the points are [for me] the news to look out for because they will indicate progress.
And the best news of the Webinar....GF’s general demeanour and smile! He looked very happy and content with what the future holds - and so then will I.

Hi ff - Here are my take-home points from the webinair:
1)Don't focus on the current bulk sample [all gathered from previously mined areas??], it's only 36T ...... but it will be processed and the results, good or bad, will be RNS. BUT don't loose focus because this is not ALBAs focus....
2) ALBAs focus is the larger new zones [potential of which is being developed with drilling and trenching] where the recovery of bulk material will be in the 100s of Tonnes.
3) Gave a ditty on 'Concentrate process' [naughty KITTY he clearly said the Gold he showed was not from Clogau.... bad ramper] and how this leads to (through smelting and refining) pure gold. ALBA were keen to ensure the concentrate production process worked because it's their intended method of recovery. The may do the smelting process as well but would not do the refining. Hinted that any bulk samples 'may' have nuggets of gold which "would be great" but intimated that concentrate extraction was more likely to be the majority of production???
4) The Extension to the main lode is the BIG news. More drilling and surface work to establish this lode's potential.
and
5) Below No4 level is a potential new lode. Level No4 needs to be de-watered [2 months plus permit approval] before they can investigate this. Will RNS de-watering progress.
6)"CONFIDENT there are unworked veins at Clogau" & "Potential is MASSIVE". 1 year to complete current exploration. 2 years to progress into next stages [including a planning approval] and progress to commercail production.
7) AMITSOQ resource is large and very pure. Needs large increase in manpower etc to progress exploration. Currently restricted by COVID. 1 year to complete drilling, 2 years to commercialise. Predicted 15 fold increase in demand for graphite by 2030 indicates it's value.
8) Melvin Bay has potential but need to prove resource is more like 120T [vice 67T] to be cost effective to mine hence a requirement for more exploration. BUT is on back burner now for Clogau and AMITSOQ
9) Ilmenite needs sonic rig to progress exploration.
10) At the end very positive. GF seems to believe that no other mining companies have the breadth of potential resources. He obviousy said that 'what happens' is standard for mining companies - High risk due uncertain outcome but High Reward!
11) Like other said - he seemed a bit peeved with UKOG and HH but said the oil is still there, its worth sinking vertical shafts and siad that it could produce 150 Barrels a day.
Any errors of ommisions please say. Tried to capture what I thought was key but I'm no expert!
PS I'm only saying HOLD because I have 'enough' shares already!
true Sophie but its just annoying.... Some companies RNS that they are attending seminars ffs! And most release 'news' of all sorts of guises via all sorts mediums. It's good for image and PR but crucially keeps those of interst in the picture!
COME ON vdtk, release some news - let us know what's going on!
Thanks for the link CAT and S - good find
Where is the RNS...... this is a fundemental shift in the companies modus oparandi that involves [critically] a shift from commision based to Full Time employee.
Comms still lacking
Hi All - I'm on HL and I just sent them a secure message using the template from the letter. Here is a copy for you to cut and paste!
General Meeting of Great Western Mining Coperation PLC (GWMO) at 11.00am on 17th Feb 2021, Haresmead House, FoulkesMill, Wexford, Ireland

3. Authorise Company to take All Actions to implement the Migration.
Please confirm you have acted upon these Instructions.
@Furion
Bring your 0.54 average down.....??? So you've only ever bought at the absolute peaks???!
@Robin
I've a lot to benefit from posts on this [and other forums] with people giving opinion - good or bad - and generally I roll with the flow and try to absorb and collate everything . But:
"Ceres has hit my buy point and pop [I] bought a batch today and will continue to add on each 10% drop on NEL, CERES and hopefully here."
REALLY - Ceres has hit your buy point only now??? You've been registered on LSE since 2012 and [I assume] interested in H2 for a good while. There were many good reports about the value of Ceres at the start of Q4 last year and since then it has risen 250%!
Any particular reason why it has only hit you to buy now......????
@PSmith
I'd still be in CERES if you hadn't have posted 4 months ago about not being exposed to the markets!!!
Sold at a small loss would have been 250% up now...... just show's you :) Still I was pretty exposed to HYDROGEN - bought ITM ages ago and loving the journey. Currently have a little in a lot of your list too. Here's to the future
Hi Shortter - honestly just a feeling!!!
JUST FOR INFO - nothing else
Both my sells of 27777 and 28656 showing as Buys......
Hi TullyC [and any other experienced in this]
Can't help feeling that a placing is in-bound. Seems to be a trend for ALBA [even over the last year I have been in] of a gradual down-trend then placing.
Thoughts?
Sorry to the neutrally balanced posters on here but I have SOLD 50% of my holding at a 50% loss. Yes there has been COVID but that was reflected in last years almost flat SP when it should have been a lot higher [due to sales and cash-flow positive promise for year-end 2020]. The downtrend of this month [50% down from 1st JAN!!!] is just too much. VDTK is a company that makes money from sales and, err, its not selling anything. Company could easily fold.... Not a de-ramp just a fact. BIG SHAME, loved the idea of VDTK but if COVID is the reason for no sales , then we have a problem because COVID is not going away until start of Q3......
I'll still be here - still have a modest holding but nothing like the £20k I had mid 2020.....
@ M
IF:
"There are many better biotech investments that actually give their PI’s a great return for their money! ..."
then how come your last 30 days posting history is only posts on the this BB.....
begs the question what ARE you invested in and WHY are your ONLY postings on a BB for a share you don't rate......
I'm in if invited Axe! Not contributed much tbh but followed, learned and laughed since July. Will only be life changing for me if its x20 so so I'll turn up in the trusty banger and park 2 streets down......
Might be life changing if ALBA pops at the same time though eh Parsley?
The government appears to be a little miss-focused with the strategic 'end-goal' and sometimes general chat follows its lead.....
Surely eradicating the virus [errr which one cause it keeps mutating....] is a false hope because a) there isn't the capacity and distribution network; b) Vaccines have (amongst many other things) not been tested to either prove you don't catch COVID or prove you don't transmit COVID; c) we have no idea the duration of effectiveness because the trials are still on-going.
Any hopes of Herd immunity / eradicating the virus / reducing R numbers forever is IMO a lost hope.
More successful will be 1) Vaccines for the vulnerable only combined with 2) Therapeutics that prevent death / hospitalization if you do catch it. Basically, the virus existing and transmission of the virus is NOT a problem per se if few people die or get seriously sick....... school children and the fit and healthy can more or less go about their normal routine with sensible social distancing if they feel unwell. As, in hindsight, we should have always done with the Flu!!!
All of which is good for SNG if the P3 results prove the P2 results.
GAMECHANGER and it may turn out that SNG is the life-line the government and country desperately needs.
But he didn't mention the Bulk sampling at all? Was due anything from now until end of Jan? but not mentioned....
Any thoughts please Elir?
