Published spread is rubbish - at the moment I can buy 25000 for 29.72 and sell 25000 for 29.61, a very tight spread (this also means that not everything flagged up as a buy is actually a buy).

What is rubbish ? Newtothegame2's comment is absolutely accurate. It never ceases to amaze me how many people believe that because a trade appears in the 'buy or 'sell' column that it actually is a buy or sell. It depends on the spread and us simply a computer-generated guess as to the nature of the trade according to whether it is closest to the quoted buy price or the quoted sell price.
