RE: Vape ban23 Sep 2023 12:01
Strictly speaking, you have an agenda too. to say that vaping is 'good' for you, rather than 'bad' is relative. compared to nicotine, it's 'good', compared to not vaping, it's bad.
there aren't sufficient tests done on whatever IS inhaled on medium or long term affects. it's not as if they are medicianl or, rather, they would be if prescribed, but only to get people off nicotine.
so, just accept that everyone has an agenda and you're cloaking your own in hlth benefits while it is, in fact, financail.
if CHLL products WERE NHS approved, that'd be something else. but it would have to be vey specific products. if they could be tinkered with to become a medicinal product to assist with asthma or reduced oxygen uptake for those with health issues, again, another, and glorious, matter.
but these are 'entertainment' products. and there's very little in them that could be seen to be positive in absolute terms.
while that argument seem to be a mainly UK and European issue, it's becoming a worldwide issue.
But in the v short term, yes, the banning of all the crappy illegal products that have flooded the markets would do the sp here some real ood. Single use would also help because it ligitimises the product. It's the requvalent of adding filters to cigarettes.
but, as i said, everyone has an agenda when it comes to making or losing moeny. and those that are against single use products are just looking to make their money from that, too.
