Buy out territory?
@Agricore - technical analysis means nothing on UOG as the volume is far too low. All I can say is that it's in a down trend, needs a lot of sideways consolidation to even consider thinking it will move up. I don't hold.
As mentioned the other day, haven't been on this or any other BB for a while and this is my last post (possibly forever).
The award to the biggest ramper (from fresh eyes) goes to Greg Peck. Well done Greg, unlucky on the 6p buy tho bud ;)
Gosh I haven't been on BB's for a while as they are pretty pointless and dangerous. I sold out of UOG at a pretty good profit a while back (ISA) and took a small loss in my (LISA) around the time of the warrants stuff (purely cause I found it fishy). Tho the company looks good financially etc, it really is about management. Larkin gives me bad vibes and imo - if one were keen to get Oil exposure, why not something like BP, DGOC or even JKX? Think UOG could do well if Oil sentiment picks up but I'm not interested.
I seldom go on BB's and twitter now, this dog has been ramped (and ARS has) for ages on twitter and look where both of them after. DYOR and learn from this mistake
The pay was a pee take and the profit was disappointing. On the plus side, fairly healthy financials, oil should keep going up (tho demand needs to come back) and they have made a great acquisition in Egypt. I really hope Hibiscus pay up soon. Jamaica looks like the game changer as big oilers haven't been doing much exploration for new oil since 2015 so a farm in partner could happen. I'm a hodler for now.
The fed will do something to cap rates. yield curve control, operation twist etc. Either way, my strategy is to buy where there is value. The NASDAQ lacks it. tho there are some cracking companies like Nokia and Dropbox which have been overlooked.
GSK’s appeal to me is that nearly everyone thinks it's rubbish. I've been here before with Royal mail, no one wanted the shares then suddenly, you know what. I'm of the opinion that most of the rubbish is priced in. It's profitable, generating cash and paying a divi. I bought in 2 weeks ago, may buy some more.
