I quiet enjoyed reading that conversation about the banks, I would much rather read conversations like that even from people with opposing views on iag than the people just jumping in and going next stop £3 when the rise starts.
I think you’re both wrong about iag and imminent news is when a lot of money can be made. Then we take the risk at a much higher price if the vaccines will last a year and how quick bums on seats etc

I think that market cap is wrong there are approx 5 billion shares

Found it, hopefully between 2 and 8 degrees so not so much of a logistical nightmare to vaccinate the rest of the population! Brilliant news! I’ll stop talking to myself now

Also does anyone know the storage temperature of the oxford vaccine? Had a quick look and couldn’t find it.

I’ve been in and out of iag since the beginning of the first lockdown, it’s a great share to trade. I actually got out of them at the end of last week because of the extension of furlough but saw the stubborn residence on Monday and got back in just in time. Been in and out since but decided to go big again today because the safety of the vaccine should be confirmed tomorrow. They said 2 or 3 days and as there were no safety concerns through the trials I’m betting on it being good news. Then we’ve got the Oxford and Chinese vaccines imminent. We’ve got 20 million of our population covered with the Pfizer vaccine. If the Oxford vaccine is as good as the Pfizer then shares are going to fly again. I believe this is an opportunity not to be missed.
We went to £3.60 in the summer on rumours and phase 2 trials, the vaccine is now here!
We should see a really big rally from here and a lot quicker than most people think.
Then there is the “world leading task force” we surely will see some results from that team to stop the ridicule.
All this and we now have a 99% half an hour virus test. I would not want to be out of these in the next 2 weeks.
The price is only approx 13% above the terp. The old £2 isn’t it?
I’ve bought half outright just in case it all goes tits up because this time next year we’ll all be regretting we didn’t get more!

I thought he came across very well when grilled by the parliamentary committee.
Thanks to the person who posted the link, I managed to listen to most of it and was impressed as I think were most of the committee.
He is saying the right things and now that he has distanced himself from fire and rehire i think there will be some positive news in the not too distant future.
I also got the impression that 6 months relief on air passenger duty is a gimme, he is going for 12 months but even if we get 9 to take it to next summer it will see the next step up in the price.
The dilution has put me off a bit but ba and iag are in a better position than most and whereas it might not be a 3 bagger now it’s still a very good medium to long term investment imo.
