Cohort 4 (full dose Modi-1 plus Nivolumab)16 Aug 2023 14:48
We know from the RNS 31 July’23 that the first patient to be assessed in Cohort 4 has shown a tumour regression at their first radiological assessment.
Another patient “Patient Y” (On MM site) is a renal cancer patient in Cohort 4. I believe that she was the second of the 3 patients to be dosed in this cohort.
By my calculations Patient Y was due to have her first scan on Tuesday 8 August’23. This is 9 weeks since her first dose of Modi-1 on Tuesday 6 June’23.
Note that in the Modi-1 Monotherapy Cohorts the first scan is due week 8, however in the Modi-1 plus a check point Cohorts it is week 9 (The RNS 31 July’23 states “Encouragingly, the first patient to be assessed has shown a tumour regression at their first radiological assessment at 8 weeks”. I believe that this is incorrect and should read “……………… at 9 weeks”). This is a link to the Procedure Chart that confirms this:-

This is further confirmed by the following, though you’ll need to take my word on this.
On 1 August’23 patient Y made a reply to another person on the MM site under the discussion heading “Any tips for dealing with scanxiety?”. I looked again a couple of days later and that post now simply reads “Deleted”. It was a few short paragraphs that I can’t fully remember, but the part that concerns us is she said that her scan was due “next week” (i.e. that will be week commencing Monday 7 August’23). She also said words to the effect that she doesn’t let scans scare her and sees it as a way of getting feedback.
I wonder if she was asked to delete her post? (Separately, it is worth mentioning that Trish, the head and neck patient in Cohort 2 showing a partial response, did not comment on the MM Site about her partial response until 2 days AFTER Scancell’s RNS of 31 October’22 advising us of this. Also she has not made any further comments on the MM site since the press stories back in May’23). Clearly Scancell have control over any news released. AIMHO.
Turning to the third patient in Cohort 4. The RNS 31 July’23 states “Following the successful completion of Cohort 4, where three patients received at least two doses of Modi-1 combined with CPI…”.
We know the second dose of Modi-1 is due Day 29, third dose Day 50 and Scan Day 64:-
Therefore the earliest “Day” that 31 July’23 (date of RNS) could be is Day 49 (i.e. the day before the 3rd dose). In which case the third patients scan will have been yesterday.
The latest “Day” that 31 July’23 could be is Day 32 (i.e. the next working day if the 2nd dose was Friday 28 July’23). In which case their scan will be 1 September’23.
