Good article on Cineworld and Mooky in the Sunday Times today
TSSZ - my thinking exactly. I'm expecting a nice rise on Wednesday followed by an even greater one on Thursday after the update. All the recent (last 6 months) announcements have been related to steadying the ship in turbulent waters but this one is going to be different - the directors share buys a sure-fire giveaway! I'm expecting some excellent progress on the online sales front which is obviously exactly what we need in these crazy times - proving we can support ourselves when shops do close. And the Zara Larsson collaboration is going to be huge !
This looks like huge news coming out of the US! The numbers quoted are v v exciting for the future - things are about to go bananas. Definitely expecting a spike in the share price tomorrow morning off the back of this.
I'd say there must be a good chance that someone else will fancy this company at that price, and BumblingFool's message below hasn't done anything to dampen my enthusiasm.
This could be about to get interesting !
I haven't seen the full details of the offer but I think its a cash only deal? ie if you hold the shares you'll be paid out in cash and wont receive any JD shares. So 83.2p is the best it will be unless there's a rival bid.
Old Soul - I personally think its well worth holding on to the shares for a few days longer atleast, just in case a rival bid does materialise. The 81p/82p price is as good as locked in so it seems a bit of a no-lose on the face of it.
Totally agree Phoenix. Suspect this will now rocket 5+% upon opening Monday morning.
So sounds like the bid is still alive
Gammybaby - spot on summary IMO.
I really hope we'll all be on board with him by the end of his run at buying the company as I've just made a decent sized buy in. Good luck all.
Morning Phoenix. Potential new invester here looking in from the outside. I've done a little research on the chap making the offer and he strikes me as a very savvy operator! This will have been his plan from the start - especially given that there don't seem to be any obvious rival bids forthcoming (atleast at this stage). He seems to be one of those guys that always gets what he wants and I'm pretty confident that will continue here - and it will be at a much higher price than the current sp (480p) when the final offer is accepted !! Just my view !
