Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
I have just started a free trail in stockopedia, I put in my portfolio of shares that included SDX energy, if came up with a rating of stable/speculative, but did not give any deep analyzing of the company. Then to test it out by put in Sound Energy and it came up with sucker stock, I am thinking it could be worth keeping my subscription . Its highest rating stock was GMF.AIM, I check it out and it looks very good, no debt 1 million USD a week free cash flow, roughly the same as SDX, but with a 269 GBP Market Cap. Jhaylock
Thelagerkhan: Where did you get this information from. The plan now is to start seismic in Morocco in June, then a twelve well campaign in Q1 next year with a rig which will be shipped in from the States and will operate much better than the current Romanian rig. jhaylock
(quote: Paul The UK investors show the day after the Gas discovery at LNB-1 well) If markets were efficient then SDX would have jumped by 50% on yesterdays RNS given the extra reserves and value found. tweeted by the vilage_idoit who spoke to PW at the show. jhaylock
Urraca I recall somene (but unfortunately I cant remember who) saying they'd spoken to PW in the margins of an investor presentation, and he said SD1 would have flowed at around 70mmscf unchoked. PW said during the presentation to everyone in the room If we had flared SD X-1 it would have incinerated everything within a quarter of a mile, the unchecked flow rate was over 70 mmscfd, the well can be chocked back to a sustainable rate of 25 mmscfd . That ties in with the statement 50 mmscfd for the production wells SD X-1 and 100 mmscfd, if IBN YUNUS AND KELVIN were successful. I believe this information is PW educated guess and not fact, so could not be put into a RNS. jhaylock
At the 2017 London presentation PW said He was hoping to get $4, but that negotiations were hard work, it's like bartering with a Souk trader. The offshore Explorers are getting $5 +. if Egypt wants to attract investment they must pay successful explorers a fair return, they didn't in the past and paid the price of stagnation, only now are they getting back on track. I was reading up on the Egyptian Oil and Gas tax laws and noticed that you can claim tax back against profit for successful wells , but you get no tax credit for dusters, don't think that will effect SDX on the next 3 to 4 wells. jhaylock
During the London presentation the only target PW mention was Ukraines Naftogaz, he said it wouldnt be a steal like Circle, but would have to be a very good deal for him to be tempted. Naftogaz Have two oil and gas blocks in the Eastern Desert of Egypt, South Wadi El Mahareeth and Wadi El Mahareeth, the resources of which exceed 360m tons of oil, quit a big undertaking for SDX. I agree with tigris, I think we have enough to be getting on with at the moment. jhaylock
I will be glad when we get LNB-1 results out of the way, the COS on this well is less than the previous morocco wells, in the grand scheme of things its not important but may slow the SP momentum. The accuracy of SD 3d data is exceptional and COS on the next three wells are very high, after which a FFD will probably be planed. The rate of progress of this company is down to PW and we are so lucky to have him instead of some CEO on AIM. Jhaylock
I think the share price is linked to the 30th license round and all will come together after the announcement. I dont usually trade shares, bought in low and have been top skimming, manly out of fear of losing a large percentage of my profit. I have now chucked it back plus in a bit more, the opportunity like this dont come a long too often, Neill & Graham are no mugs and I do not mind putting my money alongside theirs, I am sure the license application will be presented in a way that will give us every chance of success, the backing revealed by their RNSs shows the high regard for our BOD and their planning. In this game their is no certainties, theres a cockney saying You never know whats hanging to it drops and this could be a big one or it could be Sh@t lol. jhaylock
It is very frustration when a well run company like SDX does not get Market recognition for its assets, I am just about breaking even thanks trebling up to through top up. The IBU YUNUS is going to be the turning point for SDX, but if LBN-1 is a duster then it will probable drop down more than its gone up. I also have shares in Hurricane energy and Christmas 2016 Hurricane made a big discovery, Lincoln oil field west of Shetland over I kilometre deep oil pay and probable linked to Warwick, there is a 90% chance of over 3 billion barrels of oil, the shares did not rise on the news, when Echo energy announced 2 MM/cfpd on a work over well in Argentina the share price went up by 12%, the point is on AIM there is a lot of rainbow chaser that havent a clue and they are The Market. The share price does not reflect the value of SDX energy the true value is much higher and patience will be rewarded. jhaylock
The rate imposed on the profits realized by oil and gas exploration and exploitation companies is 40.55% (Article 49, Egyptian Tax Law No. 91 of 2005 and its Executive Regulation).29 Apr 2014 The CAPX can bee deducted before paying tax. jhaylock
The figures dont add up PW said the SD-1X would produce 50 MM/scfd and if IBN YUNUS and KELVIN were successful then 100 MM. PW stated that at the London presentation that if SD-1X was flared off it would have incinerated everything within a quarter of a mile, remembering that the SD-X 1 flow rate was 28.5 MM/scfd limited by surface equipment, he said the well could be chocked back and produce at a sustainable rate of 25 MM/scfd. So if SD-X1 has 3 Wells and KEVIN the same, IBN YUNUS look bigger than the two put together then 11 wells total would not be out of the question. I think the 100 MM/scfd is very conservative, let see the size connecting pipe they go for.
The first well in IBN YUNUS, must lead to more wells being drilled into the formation, the well was drilled under budget and quicker than expected so there should be an opportunity to drill an extra well.Comparing the size of IBN YUNUS to SD-X the formation could easily accommodate 5 wells. Paul Welch mentioned at the last London presentation that there was a hurdle rate of production, the smaller producers get less for their gas than the bigger producer, looking at the data and further promising acreage to the south we could soon be a very big producer. jhaylock
BPs CEO Bob Dudley said We believe in Egypt. We have a lot of activity across the Nile delta and Egypt is on its way to becoming an exporter of gas. We invested more money in Egypt last year than any other country.
What is the chance of success of the IBN YUNUS, it is less risky than the SD-1X drill that proved up the seismic data and source rock. The inversion work post SD X1 makes it possible to distinguish between gas and non gas bearing sections. Looking at the December 2017 presentation, the inversion seismic shows IBN YUNUS gas bearing sand 10 kilometres long and thicker than SD-1X, if IBN YUNUS is a success that will mean more development well will be needed. There is a misconception that Egyptians take 50% of the oil, they take 10% for the license and 35% for tax after development costs are deducted, if the company has tax deducted by their home country this can be claimed back, this is no worse than the UK, was 60% reduced to 40% when oil price tanked. jhaylock
I will not be topping up, over committed already, but a good interview. http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/stocktube/8935/sdx-energy-inc-to-double-production-in-2018-8935.html jhaylock
A lot of posters on LSE and Hot Copper seems to think that Dempsey reservoir is tight sand therefore fracking is needed, to me it seems like the well bore is skinned, this happens when you over pressure the mud to control the high well pressure, the fractures in the sand are blocked near to the well bore. The perforation gun cannot reach beyond the blocked sand, so the flow rate is low, it will have to be fractured with acid to wash out the mud. I am no expert but I expected this to happen, this is the biggest hazard when drilling high pressure reservoirs, the higher the permeability the deeper the mud will penetrate into the sand. The good news is that permeability could be high, if they were low there would be nothing you could do about it, and the development cost could be much higher. I am sure they will find an answer and when they do we will be sitting on a large discovery. jhaylock
I tried to sell my holding in BKY, I needed to top up my holdings in SDX, but my order was refused, I came on this website to find out if any sell orders where going through. I clicked on the link Baht supplied and after listening to it, I realized this was a second chance to get in at a great entry price and not time to sell. I thought the drop in the share price was down to fears about the project, Environmentalist protest and Funding, but now I know it down to the drop in the spot price drop to an unrealistic level that has only one way to go up and with it BKY. jhaylock
