ne of the new entries this time around is Advance Energy which is seeking growth through acquisition or farm-in to non-operated interests in discovered upstream projects. Right now that project is the Buffalo-10 well being drilled offshore Timor-Leste. The well is being drilled to test for the presence of commercial quantities of high-quality light oil that is expected to lead to the early re-development of the Buffalo field. ADV will slip into the High Beta section of the List, not particularly because the well is a huge wildcat but this well needs to be right at which time prescient investors will, I think, do very well.

For Gaps use the 80/80 rule.. 80% of gaps fill 80% of the gap.
Eg If we get a gap of say 100 points 80% of the time the gap will close up 80 points..
Due to broker differences in price a gap may close on one brokers chart but not another brokers chart.
Most gaps appear after big news events and/or weekend closures. They are more common in the FX markets on the lower time franes.
Just because there is a gap in the chart it doesn't mean it will have to fill at some point in the future.

@Si.. I've been here too many times to worry about current SP. At some point as you say we will start moving back up.

Seriously on AIM nothing surprises me, ive just always found the cream will eventually rise to the top.
Some like to make the odd 5% here n there so they can tell their mates on twitter what great traders they are but they never tell you when they lose 20 to 30%. I have more respect for traders who actually say ive sold up guys and im looking to buy back in lower and further down the road instead of the subtle derampers we get on here..

We are in the hands of the MMs til news now. Nothing we can do about it but buy/sell or hold.

Come on ADV enough is enough.. when you post tripe like that what do you expect.. Not as if they are in charge of the drill..
