What would you have expected? We know the parties involved can’t discuss the process surrounding Telfer/Havieron. Todays RNS is exactly what I expected.

Thanks for sharing, barna. As I said previously, we’re either seriously close to knowing the outcome of the sale process, or nowhere near. Considering the TSF issues, wording around Newmont returning Telfer to production in Q4 and also confirming there is the possibility the sales process for some of the assets held for sale could exceed 12 months, it really would not surprise me if we are nowhere near to learning of the outcome.

Interesting that Tom hardly spoke about the sales process for Telfer. Almost like he didn't want to speak about it, whereas he gave a thorough update on the other assets up for sale. Also, apologies for forgetting the ladies name, but she said "WE are planning to restart Telfer in Q4". I either see it as we're super close to a sale, or nowhere near. Newmont still have until March 2025 to conclude the sales, therefore they have plenty of time.

Nothing on the sale of Telfer/Havieron. Telfer expected to return to production in Q4 this year.

Expectations are certainly measured. But it has to come at some point. Either way, its going to be this year.

Makes you wonder why they'd announce it next week when they can do it today, considering it is their quarterly reporting day.

SAB - Would be awfully naive of NEM to announce it to a room full of staff before going to market, if that's what you're referring to.
