Top work, Stoney! Just re-read the Trading Update RNS from May 25th and Thursday’s RNS. The wording, imho, clearly indicates we’re getting funded via the Agile route, no two ways about it.
Tuesday 25th May:
“ If the completed studies are successful, the Company plans to explore the possibility for further UK government funding from the recently launched AGILE clinical development platform, which has been established to fund Phase 1 trials and fast-track the development of potentially ground-breaking Covid-19 treatments.”
Thursday 1st July:
“ We are keen to progress this project to the next stage and will now explore our options to find the best way to fund these next steps. This could include the UK government's AGILE clinical development platform, which was established to fund Phase 1 trials and fast-track the development of potentially ground-breaking Covid-19 treatments.”
There any many different ways to fund the development but only 1 has been mentioned. One - Agile. Connect the dots, they’re practically spelling it out for us.
“Superior to the anti-inflammatory steroid dexamethasone and similar to baricitinib, a JAK1/JAK2 inhibitor.”
SUPERIOR.
It would be a crime against humanity for this not to be developed and used in the fight against COVID-19.
