Now why would we appoint a NED who specialises in mergers & acquisitions at the same time Telfer is up for grabs? I just can't quite put my finger on it...

Paddy, is there a timeframe on the DTM decision? They could, in theory, just sit on it for a few years. The only thing to prevent that is Telfers life span.

Their SP has gone north because of the offers made by Newmont, it has absolutely nothing to do with Sherry and her performance.

No surprise to see a drop in SP, I think there was an expectation of a more substantial update last night. Sherry must be up there as one of the worst Interim appointments in modern time! Not only is she at risk of a takeover, she's also proven to be inept with regards to adding value. The information they must have available on Havieron, and they've just sat on it. Oh well, their loss will hopefully be our gain.

Knowing Shaun is actively interested in acquiring Newcrest's 70% share, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's actually quite happy with the way Newcrest are reporting on Havieron. May 11th is fast approaching and I would imagine Shaun will be aware of any murmurs regarding Newmont's intentions with regards to Telfer/Havieron. The next 4 months are going to be huge for us:

Nothing is stopped them. If NEM want us, they'll get us, but they'll be made to pay for it.

Wednesday PM might just prove to be a pivotal day in our future as a company. Pin the tail on the theory with regards to NCM/NEM/GGP, but it should be interesting either way.

Rudall just leapfrogged Scallywag in my opinion. We hit a discovery hole with the first dart, whereas at Scallywag we’re moving on to the third drilling programme without hitting a discovery hole. No doubts we’re only a whisker away from it, though.
