Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Sorry folks, had 2 week off with the family in the south west - was lovely. Haven't been able to catch up on here.
Did a video for the presentation/Q&A get issued?
I'd sent questions in advance and would like to know if they were answered.
I submitted questions a few days ago. Unfortunately I won't be able to make the call today so could someone please make sure MM gets grilled. £2.5m cannot possibly be for dewatering?! The area is generally a desert in summer months, can't we just pump it out and irrigate some nearby fields?!
I suggest pinging queries to investor@wresources.com
If you want someone in the know on flood risk from surface water (rain/rivers), you speak to a flood risk and drainage expert not a geologist.
If it's groundwater flooding, you speak to a hydrogeologist.
Speaking from my background as a geologist who also works with flood risk consultants and hydrogeologists....
GUG not sure where you got those numbers?
From the RNS;
Q1 2021 Shipments;
59.2 tungsten
20.0 tin
The shipped numbers you appear to have quoted are from Q1 2020!!?!
Apologies, not caught up on all the posts. But if I understand this correctly, we've nearly produced as much in April as we did in Q1? Finally turning a corner. These are the updates we need going forwards now, not waiting for the quarter end!
Q1 RNS ;
"Tungsten ("WO3") concentrate production of 63.5t
Tin ("Sn") concentrate production of 28.9 dry metric tonnes ("dmt") "
Appalling news and MM needs to give us some answers, not vagaries. What are they doing about accessing the higher grade, timescales and costs. We need monthly updates now, not quarterly. We need to see progress.
On an interesting note, selling of has been pretty small volume and the SP moved dramatically. Probably shows how many of us are underwater.
Also - Where is the pigging Spanish gov grant!?
Morning all, nearly fell out of my chair seeing this!
Nice to see - albeit a long way to go for a fair few of us I dare say!
short version - MM put his money where his mouth is at long last!
The total is in the RNS - £134,756.50
It will be interesting how the price reacts now! That is some pretty heft putting money where mouth is. Fair play.
Looks like we know what those big trades were last week!
"We're in an enviable position where we can sell as much tungsten as we can make".
Where. do. I. even. start.
I would like MM to explain how he is avoiding similar pitfalls!
Is MM OK or is he just suffering from lack of a hair cut as are most of the rest of us?
Genuine question, hope he's well. There's just some lustre missing!
I am not sure I have the steel danglies to buy more at the moment. And if I did, the mrs might chop them off and cash them in as scrap.
I think MM needs to open his wallet and put his money where his mouth is by buying some on the open market and not gifting himself some shares as part of his 'consultancy fees'.
It's in this RNS.
No- think you've missed something here.
Someone bought £175k last week (not £75k) - I don't recall a movement in share price associated with that transaction or that it was bought above market value. Given today's 5% move north, they're currently sitting best part of £10k up.
