Its a kick in the teeth 35p but I'd recommend reading the first 20 pages of the offer document. It would appear the BOD did speak to current lenders and were advised refinancing would not be viable without a significant cash injection. How accurate that is or how hard they tried is a different matter. Really not sure on what will happen going forward. Can't see this getting accepted but not sure what other options there are if refinancing is a no as is a dilution.
Employees will receive a separate communication regarding the share scheme.
Also there has been plenty of negative press surrounding the situation.
Dont worry about the small details Matty, just put everything you have in there mate, only joking obviously. In a nutshell, large debt with two bonds maturing next year (900m) which need to have refinance in place by end of fiscal year (iirc) . Currently going through a drawn out take over situation (no bid received yet). No one knows anything concrete but i think the sp is low because the clock is running down for refinance to be in place even though we have more than enough time. That's just my take on it, im not an expert by any means. Atb
The divi had been reduced under Simon anyway 2016 - 9p 2017 - 9.3p 2018 - 5p 2019 2.5p. The divi should be scrapped anyway for now, until debt is reduced imo. Im sure i read somewhere that refinance needs to be in place before end of year results, maybe someone can verify?
Im a london based patrol and yes we are worked hard to a certain degree however its an easy job if you know what you're doing. Remember that many older patrols are understandably sour because of the CARE pension scheme coming to an end however im not sure what ****ging off the AA on here will achieve.
Yep and first time they have taken over £5mil revenue in August I believe
Not too shabby

How do you view the individual market makers prices? I've never come across this before and would be interested to look at this. Thanks, Jack
Early August apparently....
I had Sirius Minerals really cheap and when they received an offer from Anglo American the bid/ask prices were virtually identical to the offer price and stayed there...
Not dismissing what has been said previously but from what ive seen first hand people are not off the road. People use their cars less of course but they are still being used. Work load is definitely picking up recently however this may just be my area. The aa is taking a drop in useage with pay per use accounts imo but there are other factors, savings wise which should hopefully counter this along with a shed load of battery sales. We will have to wait and see what tomorrow beholds. Good luck all.
@chasbrown
Call them up, im confident they will sort something out for you.
@ceoadam
I was having this conversation the other day. A lot of people are upgrading to homestart. Im seeing at least 1-2 a day at the moment and to do is roughly the same price as a battery.

Looks like the final results are being released 7th May from what i can see....
Thanks @popeye62. Yes i do the employee share scheme as well. Its a bargain at the moment. My last £150 monthly contribution netted me 1218 shares! Its buy one get one free through the scheme....
Thanks, Jack
@debcashew
Yes that's correct. From other patrols i have been speaking to, we are all selling batteries left right and centre. I sold £400 of batteries over my first three jobs yesterday. This is purely because of cars not being used regularly so the older batteries are failing and people are not prepared to take the risk of it happening again. Yes i do think we will have a busy few days as the lockdown is eased but again, it'll be mostly flat batteries. I did 9 jobs yesterday, 7 were at home. A 'homestart' is pretty much a guaranteed easy job as they are at home. My work is 75% flat batteries or punctures at a customers home address or at a supermarket.
@JTMacs
Normal day i would say around the 15000, the weather and what day of the week it is, has an affect on breakdown count.
Bank holidays I cant give an accurate answer for Im afraid. The AA always prepare enough resources for bank hols on the assumption it will be busy but more often than not, its quiet, well in my area it is. This may be because im based in west london which is more of an area that everyone leaves on a bank hol rather than travels to for a getaway.
If you remember the 'beast from the east' when we had all that snow, the job count was around 25000 for a single from memory. That was bedlam.
Hope this helps,
