Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Hi WalkingBoss.
Interesting comments made there with which i totally agree, unfortunately this is an industry where those at the top of major uk companies have very little or no experience of the front line and just continually look at the ever decreasing bottom line! This is a cash hungry industry and you need to continually invest to even standstill let alone move forward. what do you know about Boels? and are you in the industry?
Thanks for tracking me down Ledzep! Legend.
I'll be on the phone to HSBC later this morning and I'll post info in due course.
If you could get some of the other dog shares I've invested in that de-listed from my early days of playing the stock markets i'd be over the moon.
What happens during a price monitoring extension?Should the preceding auction fail to generate a price within a predetermined percentage above or below the reference price, which is the price just before the stock went into the auction, then a price monitoring extension RNS is automatically released to the market, and the Call Period is extended by another 5 minutes. This extra 5 minutes provides participants the chance to review the prices of the orders that have been entered and if appropriate add, delete or amend.Should this additional period still fail to generate a reliable price, then a second price monitoring extension is released to the market, and the Call Period is extended by another 5 minutes. On this occasion, should the additional period also fail to generate a price within tolerance levels, then this price will be taken forward and the orders that can be matched will be executed in the uncrossing.
has picked up a fairly heavy loss today, Dancourt Construction has entered into administration.
Watch this space, more to follow.
yes and the share price rose 35%!!
a 10k purchase... we still have revenues from Argentina of 1.8m approx as per half year report. We need solid news from India sooner rather than later for this to move.
checked the following as well Osmington Holdings Corallion Energy Limited All seem to have very similar names appear.... is it always this complicated?
Just done a search on companies house re Corfe Energy Limited It may be me but an old name appeared on it's records..... Infastrata ... I'll continue digging, but if anyone knows something...!
I wonder why we aren't privvy to budget info, as a business owner we always complete this task... interesting question for the AGM maybe?
The Group had cash balances of 2.3m at the year-end (2015: 1.4m) and no borrowings. Marketing spend in India can be managed with flexibility depending on the cash balances. Management can also implement cost savings initiatives in order to reduce the cash burn. 83% turnover from Argentina 7% from india operation (about 400k) Not sure about the other 10% but If (website visits) numbers keep increasing then the India operation should produce a higher turnover this year.
let's not forget they turnover in excess of 5m per year (i know not profitable).... yes admittedly it's on the slide, but while there's income the cash pile may well last a little longer... just my thought's that's all.
The Ashtead share price went down to 2p before they managed to rub a genie out of a bottle... I wonder will this be the same? They need to start offloading kit, charging more for the stuff they put on hire. Look at what equipment HSS one Call is re-hiring, they use under performing suppliers and then put it out for less than they pay!! Couldn't make it up.... and that's from one of "the under performing" suppliers... HSS spend almost 1m a year with them!!

It was 43m .... not 70m.... memory has faded somewhat!
Interesting news this morning, sector consolidation with VP buying Brandon Hire, another company that looked to be in trouble. Bought from Wolsley Group for approx 70m (from memory) various aquisitions down the last few years and then sells to VP for 68.8m
