Subject: Data Review: The $92M SEC Valuation Gap and SETS Tape Observations
With the PELI/GLND vote adjourned to Thursday morning (March 19) to finalize transaction matters, I’ve been looking at the updated market mechanics. I wanted to share a few observations for those doing their own deep dives. My Opinions, World Class Gas, AI Data Centers, Cables, Rare Earth Minerals, Demand, Old News, 7777, the .001, Awaken
1. The SETS Transition (Live Today, March 18)
BLLYF/80M has officially moved to the SETS (Main Order Book) in London. In my view, if you have Level 2 data, today is the day to watch the "Tape" (Time & Sales). The move to SETS makes institutional footprints much harder to hide. Same Institutions on both sides of the tap?
2. The 7777 Signature
While observing the tape, I’ve noticed recurring blocks of 7777 or 777 shares. My interpretation of this data is that it represents a "Root Signature"—a coordination signal used to anchor the price floor. It’s worth watching the new SETS tape today to see if these patterns continue holding the line before the Thursday vote.
3. The $92M SEC Filing Gap
The Pelican (PELI) S-4 filing outlines the 30% retained interest in the Jameson Basin. At the 10.00 GLND target price, that stake is independently valued at **US92 Million**. Based on my research, the current market cap of 80M is trading at a significant discount to this single asset, leaving the rest of the portfolio (Nickel/Gas/Biofuels) essentially "free."
4. The "Major" Logic (CFO Appointment)
I believe a major "tell" occurred on March 13 when the group appointed Ashiq Merchant as CFO. He brings 25 years from BP, specializing in multi-billion dollar capital allocation. In my opinion, you don't bring in a 25-year BP heavyweight to manage a small project. This suggests the group is preparing for massive industrial infrastructure.
5. "World Class" Gas
Check the 80M RNS from Feb 19 or today (March 18). They explicitly describe Jameson as "one of the world's largest remaining untapped gas and liquids-rich basins." My view is that this "Industrial Gas" is the missing link for the 1.5GW AI data center and subsea cable projects currently being reported in Greenland (Kangerlussuaq).
