No fluffy, it won't. It is late may bank holiday!
I also feels 50p has been tested quite a lot past few days and always bounced off that.
Rather than actual RNS of progress, I am more interested in update from L&G about their holding. We haven't heard from them for couple of weeks now.
In weeks to come , we won't be the only one producing POC antibody test. There will be quite a few on the market just like current antigen and lab based antibody test. I guess the brand name of 'oxford university' will make it more appealing just like current potential oxford vaccine.
It is just a matter of few days. Price keeps consolidating at this level so no rush there. I am happy to trust the words of our CEO, OND director, RTC head and updates from our allies.
I have a secret wish that it stays at same level for this week as awaiting funds to top it up.

Agree. That's why the elders used to say that 'It's important who your pals are!' I believe a huge opportunity of successful distribution of a great product has not been utilised properly there. That's why it is very reassuring to know that we are in a group which is also backed by government!
It is disappointing to see people losing money this morning but it shows how AIM works!
Meanwhile, our 'slide and back' dance continues!!

Woke up to this somber article in Independent written by a medic. It discusses the details of vaccine development steps for mRNA coronavirus, misleading stats from companies and issue of flawed statistical analysis (if any) for their claims even in phase I trial. The most worrying stats are 77% vaccines pass phase I and only 33% proceeds to further phases. In short, no sight of a safe vaccine for a short time and even if there is one rushed through, I am not having it (COI: already had COVID, I guess just have wait for ODX product to confirm the antibody response!). It did put a favourable light on Oxford and NHS backed projects. I am glad that ODX are taking their time to add finesse and accuracy rather than making false claims which will be very detrimental of the company.
Further outbreaks in Brazil and Russia highlights the mammoth task we have for quite a few months to come. I am afraid, it is going to be 'test, test, test'.
Hope you all have a good and safe day because it is deep sh*t out there.

How is your latest recommendation doing?
Ooops typo of 3.8 mill not 1.8 as per yesterday's RNS!!
It shows, your level of 'investing'!!
Many thanks for your update!
So I can blame you for today! I have also done my research and followed you. I have sold 70% of my ODX holding now because of your invaluable input. Do you have any other promising tips to share? Best wishes.
I guess, morning RNS seekers have left!! 2p drop yesterday was the nail in the coffin!!! lol
Others are just sitting tight and waiting...... time will come.

Nearly even close for the week . I am sure genuine investors will not be too excited about 5-6 p rise today because people who have researched this enough know that in few months time this will be the normal spread of each trade!
Glad to notice further discussion of POC and lab based antibody test especially mention of ODX by name in FT and BBC Scotland which I am sure everybody has seen. I am concerned about reports of increasing 'R' values post relaxation of lockdown in parts of England but being a frontline worker, I expected that it was going to be inevitable. This disease hasn't and will not go away for foreseeable future. Mass scale antibody testing will be a huge step in sensible unlocking the economy and on my front resuming 'routine' medical procedures like appointments and operations.
I am reassured by reducing potential risks by every passing week as haven't seen any worrying sign of concerns. They are working on ground breaking stuff and independent slip of tongue interview by ONS director also reassures satisfactory progress.
I am not a trader but I believe subdued price is secondary to off-loading of shares by L & G, but it won't be long before they have balanced their books and price will reflect that very soon.
In summary, rest well over the weekend because some hearts will be pumping hard for next few weeks. It is only a matter of when rather than if they announce on progress. Apart from being an investor, having suffered from COVID-19 myself, I genuinely wish them success for a progress in beating this horrible disease
And it was great to see the return of our own 'Ferrari' back on board!
I don't understand what is a big fuss about who comes first, second or third in devising a test? What we do know that signs are there that UKRTC and Omega are making steady progress and are nearly there. If they do have a product which I am sure in due course, it will have access to a huge market starting from UK. If the test is valid and reliable then every authorising agencies in the world will have to give approval. After that, business decisions will be made based on price, delivery, availability and service just like any drug or medical implants. There is no doubt on fundamentals of the company.
RNS will come when they have made a confirmed progress we all know that. Just hang on and don't be bothered by noice created by people who invested (or gambled) few quid that there is no progress. Either Don't buy in this company if it doesn't make sense and if you had enough of waiting then sell and move on!
I sincerely hope this lockdown reduces the number of people sitting at home twiddling their fingers.
Rant over!

What happened here??? I didn't expect that. Checked 7AM. No RNS. Close the bottom drawer and go to work.
Return from work and what a pleasant surprise!!
Glad that I din't budge with all this shakes and slides.
Holding firm.
Well done all who held. Impatient ones are out. New faces in and let's see where we go from here.
Still trying to work out the reason though!
extended to 28th May but can be re-reviewed earlier if data emerges according to Sturgeon.
By the way,
Just to correct my typo. This is an 'antigen' POC test and not a 'antibody' analysis......i am so obsessed by antibody nowadays.
We are making this 'first series' anyway !
In summary, this is not a blood test. Very first attempt to identify antibody from nasal/oral swabs. No wonder antibody detection was lower than expected.
I think the follow on research on serum must have been completed hence ODX CEO was so confident in his interview as he must know the data. The scientific paper ready for submission for publication takes time.
No wonder new lab is up and ready in a week........DYOR
link for pdf version. I hope it works.

Thanks for the link for the paper.
Key things to see is methodology. This was first Gen test. As rightly say they have tested excess sample material left over from nasopharyngeal swabs and awaiting term samples to be published later on. Producing a scientific paper takes time.
In discussion: they did mention very stringent criteria of MHRA for acceptable test. So awaiting further research and recommends transparency. see the paper methodology section for your information. They have not mention that quote at all by you. Be careful in how to read the paper. Best wishes.
"from which excess diagnostic material were collected used nasopharyngeal swabs placed into Sigma Virocult®. An aliquot was subsequently placed into Roche PCR lysis buffer for RNA extraction using Roche RNA extraction kits on a Magnapure (with extracts placed into 96 well plates). SARS-CoV-2 detection was undertaken using the Altona Diagnostics RealStar®SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR Kit (S and E genes).
We have also engaged with the ISARIC 4C consortium, who are providing 50 serum samples on an ongoing basis samples for testing, and we will publish results of these rounds of testing once we reach the sample size."
And it was so funny to read bzn1 & pseudobzn conversations while i was researching. You never know he may still be here under some other name again waiting for 40p! goops did somebody say 30p this morning?

I miss him! I thoroughly enjoyed and absorbed his posts which i must say were very informative over last couple of weeks.
I hope he is okay.

Agree. But the herd mentality of AIM traders will keep the money in COVID sector for at least few weeks to months. They will keep jumping from one to another one. It is addiction of quick buck fantasy. But I must say, it has made quite a few people richer. I doubt many people buy a gem like NCYT or ODX from bottom and continue to keep hold of it. I think we have some promising examples on this board who seems shrewd investors not traders. You can tell who they are.
PDMS:
That's solid!
Yes. Wants all mine 51K at 55.225. I am like nope.....Thank you!
