Any official numbers from China about the virus will be out by a factor of 10 at an absolute minimum. That's reality and we all know it or ignore it. The measures they have imposed are so severe that although there will be huge suffering in the short term it hopefully is enough to keep things somewhat under control until the warmer weather comes and it will die off naturally.

For sure, if the powers that be were concerned about pollution, why would they open the borers to vast numbers of people of which many have no respect of anything, so that millions more are consuming here, rather than not needing heating or much else at all over there.

Safety, though I didn't claim that CO2 forms a deep layer on the surface (the air moves enough to keep most of this stuff churned up of course) some of it actually does.
Stand in a room with still air and light a match and watch it burn, you may have to drop it or put it out before it burns your fingers. Then light a match and lower it to an inch off the surface, and see how slowly it burns in comparison, often it will go out of it's own accord.
My point is that we are told we are pumping CO2 up into the atmosphere where it is building up and trapping heat and that causes warming.
But it doesn't behave that way. An increase in CO2 level does not explain increases in temperatures.
There have been periods in history where average temps have been higher without the calamities they keep claiming will happen.
There have also been periods where CO2 has dropped without correlating drops in temperature, and steady CO2 levels and big temperature changes.
There are periods where a long term rise in temperature has correlated with a rises in CO2, but with the CO2 has followed the trend of the temperature not the other way around.
If I followed the headlines, I'd still be thinking the way I used to, but there's a reason Patrick Moore fell out with Greenpeace and a reason you don't see David Bellamy on telly anymore.

Temperature is mostly affected by Sun activity cycles.
The IPCC made 41 predictions over the years, all were wrong.

Safety,respectfully disagree on the 'huge amount of evidence' thing, there's literally none that stands up to scientific scrutiny.
Almost all the 'evidence' is based on conjecture and computer modelling fed with assumed data where data gaps exist, even NASA have been found to be 'massaging' figures, all dissenting opinions and arguments are attacked, people lose their jobs, 'climate denier' smears abound, historical temperatures are adjusted to make graphs 'look right'.

97% of scientists they say, of how many scientists? Scientists in what? Asked a generalised question, where they give an opinion as an answer to make a consensus. Consensus is not evidence. If the evidence can't be tested or argued against it's not science.
Infact, 500 climatologists disagree with the above consensus and have written to the UN, not a peep in the media. Please look it up.
CO2 does not trap heat in the atmosphere, it falls to the ground and is soaked up by vegetation.

There is huge money and organisation behind this, it's all a scam.
