The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I am of certain age and can remember the Dead Parrot Sketch.
This P arrot H as E xpired I keep nailing it to the perch but to no avail.
Price of gold up today. Canada listing imminent. Drilling for 2m ounces in next few months.
Director buying 500k shares on the open market. New dynamic CEO. Improved communications. Non core assets for sale.
What can possibly go wrong ? I don't need scuba gear I need a submarine!
The price of lithium has taken a tumble. Could that be the problem here?
Hopefully something is brewing. I have been reading lately that there is nowhere near enough accessible nickel and lithium in the world to meet the net zero requirements. Hence like most ordinary folk I will be sticking with my old diesel.
Unless of course I make a ridiculous profit from LND!
NTM,
thank you for expressing what I have been thinking for a long time now. If , for instance, I was employed by Cube and had this knowledge would I not be 'filling my boots'. Sprott also must discuss these things with colleagues.Even if a sale were not imminent it looks like a solid investment at this ridiculous price.
Holding but not entirely comfortable.
I tried a dummy buy today and was quoted 18.12. I think some of those sells are actually buys. Even so the situation here beggars belief. I keep topping up here but cannot seem to successfully average down. I would 'love it' if suddenly suspended due to buy out or JV.
Excellent observation Samroy and before I am accused of de-ramping I have added to my holding again today.
However if a potential buyer was seriously 'sniffing around' surely it would leak and even the slightest hint of a rumour would send the price of this rocketing. Therefore I am sceptical of an imminent sale. On a positive note I can see no downside to this as a safe investment at this silly price.
There is an excellent article in the business section of the BBC web site this morning concerning the perfect storm in nickel shortages. Well worth a read for investors here. Sorry I can't link . Perhaps someone else can.
Topped up a little this morning.
In my opinion the risk of holding these is extremely low. Could be that the longer we have to wait the better the outcome will be. Especially if the price of gold were to rise.
I have also topped today.
Why did they not sell all their shares when they could have had a better price?
Just enough shares are being sold to keep a lid on the price. IMHO. A 'tree shake' lol.
Agree, but traders are not committed. If they can see £50 profit or think another share might make £50 tomorrow they will sell. Come back only when news is expected. Then sell as soon as the news is announced. AIM is for the 'quick and the dead'. I wish it were not so. Only by seeing or convincing yourself of true value can you afford to hang around. But I am stating the obvious for investors here. Looking at what we have here and news to come I feel fairly safe with my investment.
Surely Sprott would kick arse if he was seriously worried about being underwater.
I wonder if perhaps Bill has shook hands on a deal and cannot be bothered with updating the web site and getting involved with publicity that will make no odds to his final result. Perhaps he just thinks that true value 'will out'what ever he does now.
I put Labrador Gold Corp into my virtual portfolio ( which I think is another Eric Sprott investment) a few weeks ago. Had I actually invested I would now be 36% down. So it is not just LND.
The gold price has also stagnated over recent months although I think it is a good price still.
Unless we get news of a takeover or the gold price goes over $1900 again patience is required.
That's how I see things and will be holding for the foreseeable.
Hello Dirkus,
Yes, excellent post from RDR. Gives substantial reassurance.
Good evening js88,
You are correct. I am not a great researcher. I have, however, been invested here for the best part of 20 years and have (for me) a substantial investment here.Built up as I have watched the assets grow.
Just a bit of frustration creeping in as I see an investor (who must have inside information) selling.
Is there method in his madness? Why is it in his interest ? Is the price being suppressed for strategic reasons?
The last thing I want to do is deramp. If someone can explain I would be most grateful.
Are you sure he is 'done'. Looks like he has just started.
