With CB tooting a line of Charles of a hookers backside
If initial results be favourable I see a sole capital raising with Newcrest. I never bought into the FT & BH being worked over late because of drills being busy. Results not so favourable then there is BH & FT results yet to come along with the other under explored assets. Could of washed through those warrants long ago with some earlier drilling and a bit of media along with wearing gold cufflinks and reading the paper outside a mining head office (Refer to Dec 2017)
Ffs. That is ridiculous Spratt. My case has always been the same for GGP I just don't ramp or look through rose tinted spectacles. I think most that have been on this board for a lot longer than you can contest to that
Jeremy or Boris?
Some selling today. Just a hunch
Or you could see a cash offer +5% on right to mine deal. Lots of scenarios but I'm sticking with Rio being the ultimate owner (whoever mines the gold). isn't it also 400m shares the Hav owner gets anyway if there's a decision to mine? All in the best interests to take this out early
That's a tough one. I don't ever think we'll get to the point of US knowing the grade if Newcrest were to make an offer. I certainly don't see them spending 5 years under a spending cosh to the tune of 65m. Too much horseplay is going to take place. CB & GH get a chance to start this process again with 200m in the bank sure as s*** they'll take it (and me with them)
I'd take that offer Tiburn. Rinse and repeat, building returns for medium and long term investors (GHs quote not mine).
I don't think it'll be for a song but certainly won't see the full value. Let's face it, GGP don't Have the resources to make full value. Remember Hav could get spun off on its own (sure someone can repost that Proactive interview where that comment was made ).
There's a bit of distant noise in the background which I'll choose to ignore.
So NCM are in a bit of dilemma really. Do they announce any positive results now therefore having positive effect of their SP and building their asset base, good move considering Rio are no doubt hovering around thinking about a T/O Or keep stum, GGPs sp stagnates, no doubt retraces and RIO moves in and takes GGP.
What a shame we don't have proper details of the agreement.
I don't tend to connect dotd Tiburn, normally ends in tears. There won't be 2 partners in Hav. RIO will be in gold by year end, but it won't be Rio mining it ;-)
Finally.......
£61mcap. $1bn offer? Not going to happen.
One of the next RNS you are going to See regarding HAV is going to be this. One of 2 parties

Worked it out yet Paddy? Wondering why GGP didn't drill Scallywag but instead went over to the duck that is FT .
In 3 months you won't know your ass from your elbow as to who owns what and who owns who. Short term traders can take their profit. There are much bigger forces at play here. Still not sold a share.
Paddy, do you think those missing drills might be drilling next to the Scallywag target by any chance ;-)
ffs RTC, pigeons!!! Pigeons are by far the safest way.
Trying to jump on my coat tails there huh Spy? RIO don't buy GGP, they buy Newcrest. You can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink...
..
Paddy ;-)
Most of it is in the public domain Paddy. Try and find the Rios CEO interview / conference from 18 months ago I think it was where he talks about the future of mining. Newcrests current SP since analysts urged RIO to take over Newcrest (although gold price is obviously a factor) Rios latest statement on reducing reliance on iron ore. Statement on Winu "not sure it will be us mining it" (gold is in winu)
But one of the biggest clues. What does a company do when a take over is on the cards? It rushes to increase its asset base.
