It's possible that Ashcroft himself is lowering the SP to buy them cheaper. If you look back at the press releases, historically there have been shares bought up by the company and cancelled. This obviously makes each remaining share more valuable. Thank for your courteous tone on this forum! We are gentlemen here.
Note that the price was 30p at one point during the frenzy. Yorkshireman, you are forgiven, from Horace and Mystic.

it depends on how long it takes the Ashcroft alliance to squeeze the money out of the GOB, plus there is the other arbitration award of $35m. Then I anticipate Ashcroft will sell the bank and we will make our money. Could be all of 2017 the way things are going.

Thanks.
It is not a question of disagreeing, I am merely reporting the news as it is. As for coming back every day, I have been here every day for years...
Read the Belizean press and you will see that there will be no confirmations in a rush - GOB refusing to pay, for one thing.
I have been following this share for years and it has been 20% of NAV for most of that time, a long term screaming buy, if you like. It is partly because it is Ashcroft's style to keep things low key. If it hadn't been for the Rns the other day, the sp would still be10p. After all the 27m has been on the balance sheet for a while...why does he do this? So that when the sp multibags, he can have the last laugh over his so-called enemies.
If I may blow my own trumpet, I have been following this share (and its predecessors) for 20 years. I will say this: it is Lord Ashcroft's style to keep his companies beneath the radar and the SP nice and low....we will see this SP rise in multiples when his Lordship is ready!
take a look at the half yearly report under the Assets section. the Govt of Belize Securities is a new addition. The NAV of the company would make the shares worth 45p each. Yet the market cap is less because people aren't buying the shares, not all markets are efficient, lack of shareholder knowledge, market makers marking the price down, no one following this shares until earlier this week etc etc
As stated before, I think this is already accounted for in the balance sheet under "Govt of Belize Securities 34m".
