You've answered your own question with the second part of your message. I'm invested here but to say 200k is anything other than a positive initial step then your kidding yourself. Lots more drilling required. I'm here for creswick JV
Catalyst here is still very straight forward for large gains and that's the JV, gives confidence that Craig mentioned that he can't currently talk about creswick which indicates the reasoning why nothing was mentioned in the latest RNs. Nothing appears to have moved forward that can be announced to the market however he did come across quite bullish about our prospects and the perceived value against the current market valuation.
If newmont do buy into creswick then we are in for quite a ride, even more important to accumulate if funds allow at these levels.
He has some valid points regarding this clearly underwhelming RNs. Looks to be reactionary to the constant requests for an update and swinging sentiment on here/Twitter rather than a planned out release.
Agree that the lack of even a mention of creswick either suggests talking are advanced and therefore commenting further than already stated may compromise these talks (possible) or they have made no progress since the last RNs so nothing to mention.
I'm invested for the long term here unless something drastic happens to change my opinion on the prospects the company has.
JV with a major will be transformational so I'd imagine that's why the majority are here.
"over time" of course they will review that non cash element. Sell down now for £10m or £20-30m over a period of time monetising their holding. It's not like their holding will be diluted into oblivion in the near future either. I am interested to see what they do.
I don't believe a surge in POG near term would dictate whether a business engages in M&A, far to volatile at the moment. If POG established a new base over the next 12-24 months and we had progressed to $115k per annum with singida then it becomes a attractive proposition. I'd hold greater weight on the release of economics from West Kenya as a driver for mid caps to sit up and take notice of Shanta. A house analogy, cheaper house now but needs investment to produce the returns to warrant a purchase or wait for the incumbent to put the hard work in and then swoop in for the finished product. Especially if the market undervalues said property, which in our case it does.
Exactly, I have no qualms about the price remaining static. The true value will be reflected in time, March/April 2021 I'm expecting a minimum 80% so increase over this period here. The longer it stays at this value the more I'll/we'll benefit if we continue to build our positions.
Muted response to the news, the deal is certainly not priced into the share price that's for sure. Agree with CD on valuation of £250-300m. It's a matter of when at these gold prices. I will continue building a stake here while it remains considerably undervalued.
Biggest perceived market risk imo is the Kenya deal. Once that is resolved a re-rate can happen. If you believe that's a certainty then don't complain at the price, load up while you can at these level's
Not my reading of the current situation. I can see 25-30p here if a few things happen. 1. Deal for west Kenya announcement confirmation. 2. Results from exploration in this year's campaign (hopefully) positive in terms of LOM. 3. Gold maintained around $1700-2000 level by year end once the hedge is cleared.
Shanta is currently overlooked but if/when the above are announced I'd expect this to be comfortably sitting around £250-300m mcap.
Market cap of 10p maestro. You're being a bit harsh aren't you haha
yes that is correct. terms change after testing the well
See we have the cautious brigade out in force again today. Imo its now just a case of how much oil do we have. If has been and gone.
Its gone up 240% in last few days. Of course its going to have pull backs. On positive logging result I still expect to see 30-40p tested.
Haha it's like an episode of EastEnders on here at the moment. Absolutely tragic. Can't keep up with this daily waffle. Anyone sharing even half decent information gets lost in the noise.
