Not convinced Arqiva is worth more than 100 million. If anything at all:

Value:

200 profit million a year. X10 = 2billion business.

50% (DG9 share) = 1billion.

Sale price (@40% discount) = 600million.

Cash at hand; 15 million.

Debt;

1.5 Billion (excluding shareholder notes)

50% (DG9 share) = 750million.

615 - 750 = nothing.

How much is Arqiva worth for Digital 9?

Digital 9 paid 300 million for their 48% stake right? Even if they get 100 million, plus a net 70million for the other assets;

170m in asset sales/ 865 million shares in issue = 0.19 pence a share. Equal to a 35% gain at todays share price.

The Aqua Comms sold for "36% discount (equating to c. 2.6p per share) to the valuation incorporated in the NAV"

However share price trades at 56% discount to (most recently estimated) NAV.

Even on a 36% discount it still represents a profit on buying the shares today at a 56% discount to NAV. Seems to me downside is about break even at this share price, whilst there is a potential upside of about 30%.

Another slight concern is the affect of the 6.7% increase in min wage which kicks in April this year.

Halfords employs 12,000 people so this will increase the salary costs.

For example, assuming 2,000 employees on minimum wage are paid 7% extra. This increases costs by about £3million.

I am in two minds about Halfords. I like the garage side of the business. I do not like the retail side. The stores are huge and seem empty. Their product range does not seem appealing. I look at places like Homebase closing down and it does not look any better for Halfords on the retail side.

So SIG has about £450 million debt and is expected to make 20-30 million this year? Is this company worth more than the market cap of £180 million with that amount of debt and relatively low (and declining) profits? Seems about fair value.

Well, it's down to the 8pence a share I envisaged in my last post, but on a 97.5% dilution, I value the stock

at 2 pence a share. I don't believe this is a good entry price point so I'm sitting this out.

As I posted when stock was over 14 pence a share, PFC has an estimated fair value of 10 pence. If the stock falls to 8 pence this becomes a speculative long term buying opportunity. Do not go all in at 8pence, 50% maximum of the amount you want to risk. Add on any future falls under 8 pence. Otherwise ignore.
