For the hard of understanding ...02 Feb 2020 14:00
The 8 mins is the actual dipping of the caplets into the sensory machine. You need a mechanism that fits seamlessly into NHS protocols, these pathways are used throughout the EU, USA, Middle East, Australia NZ etc.
The Novacyt kit fits that protocol.
Having a garrison of lab tecnicians with highly specialised kit on every street corner doesn't exactly cut the mustard.
Noracyt Testing times are TO NHS STANDARDS02 Feb 2020 08:39
As an investor and a member of the NHS I just wanted to qualify the Testing times here.
Ignore the noise they are excellent.
Having spoke to the company last week the 2 hours factors in typical collection, delivery, analysis, reporting. In effect it is modelled to replicate what happens in a typical NHS or western hospital, in terms of infrastructure and staffing
In the NHS typically the patient arrives for testing. They will go to a triage room. A nurse will collect the sample using caplets. A CSW will collect and take to the vacuum delivery pod, this is a vacuum air vac system used in most hospitals. It runs on a timetable so maybe say 10 mins before delivery. It's a bit like organising trains into a station. It can't just go to the destination immediately as the lab will be accepting deliveries from other wards example Cardio, respiratory, gastro, neuro etc lets not forget there are other urgent demands working in tandem.
On arrival the sample is placed in a centrifuge OR possibly an NHS lab off site. On the Wirral there is an additional testing laboratory at Bromborogh as well as on site.
Yes the actual analysis takes a few minutes most do but you need infrastructure.
That is the butty of this kit over others AND it is specifically designed to work on this strain.
A few naysayers are suggesting 2 hours is longer than other kits.
The difference with Novacyt is the fact that it can slot easly into standard NHS or WESTERN hospital infrastructure, in terms of the collection and analysis.
I have seen ridiculous caims that there are kits that take 8 minutes but that is literally taking the test tube and dropping into the test facility, it assumes you have 20 qualified laboratory assistants and the highly specialist kit on every corner, that is a physical impossibility . It ignores the vagaries of the logistics required.
I reckon 99% of us only post in shares where we have a holding, you therefore have to ask yourself why punters would waste time and energy randomly picking a share and provide supposedly forensic detail as to why you would sell ?
Many thanks for your caring nature, im touched , it just seems odd to m.
And then I question if you feel you are affecting the SP.
I would rather do the garden or something that affects my own life not others.
