Can't help thinking this is whats going to happen with all these extra Boots & temporay staff the government are funding? Testing in Boots coming our way?
Not normally one for doing this, but a delayed one just gone through
This share is still largely PI's, with many akin to Miss Marple or Thomas Magnum. The fact that most of the info gets gleaned by these PI's before the RNS's, make the RNS's superfluous most of the time as they are days even weeks after most PI's have the info. With all the social media and info floating about everyone should have realised that an RNS that doesn't really say anything different, would never cause a boom or even a shiddy rocket. To be fair my research points to all being good - really good, just traders, new investors who see RNS and expect 20% jump will suffer. Nothing in it today was really any different from what we have figured out over the past few weeks. No doubt tomorrow, more leaks, PI intel, grapevne whispers and the share price moves upwards. This share moves on heresay, covert intel not RNS's. Lets not forget though that underpinnin this is a share that has jumped massively in the past 6 months and pretty much held its ground. GLA
The consortium are definitely trying to keep things under wraps, but you'll always find some clues. Some of the orders these packaging manufacturers and such like must be receiving are going to be completely company changing - no wonder they want to tell the world!
Just checked who gave Omega the thumbs up on Linkedin about the government news story.
Someone from Parmamount Packaging
https://paramount-packaging.co.uk/wrapping-machine-news/article/paramount-packaging-systems-ramp-up-production-for-pharmaceuticals
Looks like they are ramping up volume!
Also the Finance Director from Adreco gave the thumbs up, and we know what they are doing. Never seemed them linked to Omega before only through Mologic. But they appear very aware of each other! A few more interesting likes on there, but as yet can't put a concrete connection together. All things pointing to the big orders though. DYOR
Anyone here heard of them? Or have they been mentioned before on the board. They are based 30 miles away from Omega, and are a contract medical manufcturer. Seems a few of the senior players at Omega have an interest in them.
And as if by magic, omega have been promoting the test on Linkedin since last night. Why promote if approval for private sales or significant supply isn't lined up / ready?
So, had 30mins spare thought I'd check Omega employees on Linkedin. Done this on a few shares I'm in, pretty useful to see the connections between people - especially directors. Seems like Omega have a new-ish Global Marketing Director - big experience in the Middle East and North Africa. Also taken a recent passing interest in Avacta??? Obviously a lot of the guys working their have an "interest" in competitors, but I noticed quite a few who are also interested in Novacyt too. Like I say it's a bit of snooping to be honest, but sometimes you can spot a thing or two...wink, wink!! People on the board will prob spot some connections (interests) better than me at the moment - but in the ways of DYOR i think Linkedin offers quite a bit
Posted on Twitter this afternoon
“In recent weeks/months I have posted a series of Tweets in which I made various allegations regarding Abingdon Health Limited and its UK RTC COVID-19 test. I accept that those allegations were unfounded and I apologise to Abingdon Health Limited.”
Abingdon has already said they had sourced and acquired materials for first 10million tests in July, so depending on how much it is in raw materials for a test, this extra £10million alludes to a fairly large order methinks. Anyone know cost of materials per test?
As much as any drop is a kick, the volumes over the past 2 days are going to make a really decent base. Especially if these shares have been picked up by stickier hands. From what i've found every share is like a relay, and at certain prices some holders need to pass the baton on. Most of the time people passing on have made their cash - so fair do's. The guys picking them up know the bigger gains are to come. And hopefully these are the big boys!
Same amount of shares (400,000) which were flagged up yesterday morning on here, as being sold by Seneca Growth Capital in September. Strange coincidence
Going to be some seriously chunky delayed buys coming through soon methinks.....
Delayed 20k buy just gone through
Only positive news will only shift this consistently upwards. Pretty much every quick rise in the past month has dropped back, because they were generated by ramps. Traders trading essentially - and I guess you can make a pretty penny doing that. However the longer it goes on investors get their heads turned. Especially those who aren't sitting with a pile of blue figures in their portfolios. Still holding, but some positive news better turn up soon!! Serious gains come from serious executed and delivered actions. Come on Art!
I agree for such an experienced BOD some of the comms have been ludicrous. Still believe this is a strong business, but comms/management need a good shake up
I've been using a site called simplywall.st it has (i think) a pretty up to date list of all major shareholders. Very very interesting reading if correct. The other take out is 3 brokers AJ Bell, Peel Hunt and IG now seem to have 10m shares between them - not seem that concentration of holdings from these type of investors in other similar businesses.
Also think Hargreaves Lansdown gone 11.35m shares.
Also think Neil Woodford is completely out now, he had 9m shares last time I looked
