I don't know where this site gets the P/E from.
Looking at the 2022/2023 Statement, the first page shows EPS 74.2
Looking at the 2023/2024 Statement for the half year, the first page shows EPS 28.4
So P/E around 14 for 2022/23 & around 18 for the half year (for SP 1034)
So not such good value - unless you have additional info !
@Gohanito Page 25 of the results says EPS was 293.3p for 2022, down from 296.9 for 2021, so a drop of ~1%
I'm not so interested in the revenue as the earnings.
Agreed that UK inflation probably not the best, given their global presence, but the earnings are in GBP, so it is of some relevence.
I was hoping to see total debt decrease, as perhaps were others, hence SP drop.
Earnings flat, while UK CPI inflation over 10%
Debt increased by £3B
Cost of servicing debt increases due to both increased total & increased rates for debt rolled over.
Balance sheet shows intangibles increased by over £13B
Drat.
Are they out of Russia ?
The article in the Telegraph 3 days ago says
"Tobacco companies have paid almost £7bn in taxes to the Kremlin since the invasion of Ukraine"

Thanks Gary.
I was wondering why Admiral had dropped so much this year...
Just checked the FCA spreadsheet - INCREASE
Black Rock 0.7
Citadel 0.62
GLG 0.52
Marshall Wace 1.71
Millenium 0.5
Total 4.05%

@moneybox007
Div was 187p excluding specials.
P65 of results says 65% of profit each half-year, but then expect normal + special to be 90-95% of earnings.
So you are expecting future special divs to match 2021 even though it was due to one-off events ?
Div over 7% using 187 & current SP ~2600
Sadly, todays drop likely to exceed next years div.
I'll drink to Stella results !
Well, Devtrad, you could have looked at the "Historical data" tab on the "BATS share charts" page on this site to see that the BATS price moved from 3426 to 3439 yesterday.
Ex-Dividend Date 24-Mar-22

So looks like BAT will be buying £10M worth of shares each (work)day till yearend.
(from Feb 11 RNS £2Bn buyback saying yearend)
Based on ???
I see RNS showing just 0.62% reduction, approx 4.5M shares and nearly 8M shares traded the following 3 trading days from the RNS on 15/01/2022 & INDV SP increased in this period

@dodgepot
Hmmmm - notice that part of the DOJ agreement was a provision that
"Require Indivior Inc. to disband its Suboxone sales force and not reinstate it"
So without a salesforce for Suboxone, maybe sales dropped off a cliff ?
But management would have known this prior to sharebuybacks ?
So hold till results on Feb 16 ???
Indivior agreed to pay $600M in July 2020 for conduct re Suboxone marketing :
