Malta is currently top of the league worldwide in numbers of vaccinations, Spain, Italy and Greece are catching up pronto and for those working from home in the UK or those with their own businesses quarantine restrictions will be extremely minimal, in fact quarantine period will only last 5 days if a negative test is proved. Can’t wait for the next update on the green list
You can call it misinformation or you can call it complete and utter pie-in-the-sky.

Good news: new transformational covid vaccine developed by GSK given clearance to be used in the USA
Nationalist French politicians seeking redemption for their incompetent chaotic handling of the virus, they know that the Brits will be avoiding France this summer because of Brexit hostility, so nothing lost there then. Am I the only one here that understands the DNA of the Conservative Tory politicians, the party of business and commerce? The Canary Islands average temperature is 22 degrees centigrade even in November and December, Malta and the Greek Islands stay relatively hot up until end of November.
weather in Austria and Germany not quite the same as Malta or the Spanish Canary Islands, or the Greek Islands?
Malta simply has to go on the green list very soon as do at least 10 or 20 other Mediterranean/Canary islands, Greece and Spain stand an excellent chance and we might get Italy on board, Boris might be a bit wet but he’s fundamentally a Tory from the government of trade and commerce who need to give a low-risk nod to business which should revitalise the airports and economy magnificently, full thrust ahead, this is your captain speaking.
Matt Hancoke will give a prudent political statement reiterating travel to amber list countries isn’t recommended for leisure, but on the other hand the next green list is very likely to contain Malta and Greece at least, Spain and Italy are also doing everything they can to be included on the Green list as they’re desperate too! Let’s not forget the new EU covid passport scheme is now underway!
Malta has a very good chance of going on the Green list, your assumptions work both ways, no country is guaranteed amber status either but you’re not looking at the bigger picture, EasyJet liquidity and a government of business, European hotels and restaurants are on their knees begging, risks have to be taken, we have to adapt to whatever circumstances there are, ask yourself this question, what happens to these major companies, restaurants, hotels and economies if we give in to your negative pessimism and fear? This virus could mutate go on for years yet, we have to adapt there is no other choice.
The government are urging vigilance and building the hype that serves their reputation but we all know that the political party of business is absolutely ruthless when it comes to the economy, their record proves it, they’re also very well connected to the business world, a few major companies will be in trouble if they don’t get assistance, if we only get Greece on the green list that will suffice for now but if we get Spain also and possibly Italy which are all desperately doing everything they can, then your minimum 10% estimated drop will be merely pie in the sky. You can’t claim I am wrong until the pudding has been eaten.
EasyJet isn’t a world player and it’s focus is mainly Europe, there will be less competition and higher prices, then there’s the price of aviation fuel and more efficient aircraft. explosive pent up demand will last two or three years and could even change holiday habits! Leading to an increase in sold seat numbers per flight. A leaner more efficient EasyJet will emerge with common contract terms being renegotiated/changed in the event of a similar downturn in future.
United Airlines have just added extra additional flights to Dubrovnik in Croatia and larger Dreamliner Jets for flights to Athens in Greece, EasyJet SP 1130 by next Green list, 1500 to 2000 within 12 months. “This is your captain speaking.”
Prudent political statements by a cautious responsible government urging vigilance and caution. If there’s one political party that knows how to revive and balance an economy, adapt to situations and get things back on track we all know who that is, Airlines and airports will be supported as they’re fundamental to an economic recovery, so don’t get blown away by the hysterical pessimism, move on we must, adapt and grow.
If Matt Hancoke speaks of the resilience of the vaccines against the Indian variant he does so because it’s a consensus of opinion amongst scientists that he has sought counsel from.
Matt Han**** is confident that vaccines are proving resilient against the Indian variant of the covid disease
Several weeks ago, one Saturday morning, in trying to set the agenda, BBC radio 4 had an expert professor of diseases telling us all that holidays this summer were “unfortunately very unlikely” on the following Monday the SP tanked. This government has to get us back on track and we have to adapt to all circumstances or go broke waiting. Greece and Spain will defo be on it and possibly Italy ! The word on the street is pure gangsta.
You’ll be able to get an almost concise answer when the market opens today, it is a volatile share, price won’t settle for a few days?
Prudent politically safe green list by the government but disappointing for EasyJet, it’ll only be three weeks until more countries are added.
“Amber” is only 5 days quarantine on return from holiday IF a negative test is proved so those desperate to escape British weather will cut their holidays from 2 weeks to only one ! That’s a positive!
EasyJet SP is extremely volatile! SP possibly back down to 1000-1020 on Monday or Tuesday !! Keep the faith.
Mario Draghi has just announced Italy to rejoin the fold, gelato gelato gelato !
Airports are fundamental to economic recovery and risks have to be taken that we have to adapt to. This could go on for years! Governments have to choose carefully when announcements are made as political opponents lie in wait ! Do nothing and we travel backwards. There is no other choice, fasten your seat belts, get ready for take off.
Don’t look to the government for scheduling announcements, they have to be careful with their statements that can be easily manipulated and seized upon by opponents, so timing is everything! we all know to a certain extent what’s likely to happen and those risks have to be taken for the sake of the wider economy, the SP will be extremely volatile as news unfolds, buy now, hold on and fasten your seat belts!
