I can't help but laugh here, we now have STIG to get things moving - on top of all the other task forces charged with sorting out testing and stuff..- Which all seem to be floundering..
Is it STIG of the dump, or STIG from Top Gear....
Never been one for poking at the government - the last six months have been pretty difficult for everyone, but the last few months - diabolical imo. Loads of money passed to many "expert" companies that simply haven't delivered..
Maybe Boris and co could see if Homer is free too.... ??
I've had Skin and MWG for the last 2 months, If AVCT follows their run, I'm joining Elon on Mars... :)
- Antibody test that's very misleading to the general public.
We all know the importance of detecting the virus when the infection is at it's most contagious.
I'd be surprised if they get anywhere near regulatory approval..
And I hope that Avacta can quickly distance themselves from the arrangement they made in haste...
The association with Boohoo sounded great when it was announced, not so great now - further aggravated by the fact they are being not at all honest on their website. The Lad Bible ought to be ashamed for sponsoring this crud. It is misleading...
Ah, a month out, sorry ...

SAME DAY..... Buckle up lads n lasses...
While the price is waning, a great chance to grab a few extra.
We all know the test is going to work, and it's going to work well.
I expect it's taking longer than we like because this is the moonshot, it's Bozza's baby and it has to be right..
FOMO will kick in later this afternoon? ?
Discount day !! YAY !!
Looking at their site, It doesn't make it clear of the differences between the two tests, that in itself is slightly 'off'
Joe public won't have a clue...
Very unprofessional, misleading too, I'd say...
I've pawned the dog, another 147 shares purchased.. this is going to explode... eventually..
It's just a matter of getting the double barrelled version of the spit stick ready, C19 and influenza side by side...running low on glue to hold them together. We all know the technical spec is going to be fantastic. When this one blows - it's gonna be volcanic..
Very informative, thank you.
It was in the back of a van in Salford - but the locals nicked it thinking it was a slush puppy machine...
Or, if you prefer you can just spit on this, go for a pee, have a fag and hey presto !! Results - for both Flu and C19
Principally this sounds good, but wouldn't your average person prefer to find out if they are 'unclean' in the comfort of their own home...
No - read the two - regarding what's required of the LFT's in The Telegraph- the second comment is from the RNS 07/09/2020
Dr. Alastair Smith, Chief Executive of Avacta Group commented:
"I am delighted with the outstanding performance of the Affimer-based ELISA test developed in-house by Avacta and that we will shortly make this powerful laboratory research tool available to support global research efforts to study the virus and develop ways to combat the pandemic.
Avacta remains focused on the much larger opportunity of the saliva-based coronavirus antigen rapid test that we are developing with Cytiva and which is now in the process of technology transfer to our manufacturing partners. The excellent analytical performance of the ELISA test is very encouraging with regards to the anticipated clinical performance of the rapid test and I look forward to starting the clinical validation with the first pilot batch of rapid tests as soon as possible."

I had a dig into this earlier, it's a test made in effing china, self certified for CE use. It requires a pop up pod.
The company whose name appears at the bottom of the page where the CE certificate is shown is Pasaca Capital, Inc and Disruptive Nanotechnology Limited.
Disruptive Nano Ltd is operated from a 3 bed semi in
Finedon
Wellingborough

This doesn't sound too reliable..... in fact
I can smell a 'bat'
Is this The Telegraph touting a chinese product - WOW !
Sorry...
Will it be a twin LFT ..... like a double barrelled version... no reason why this can't be produced - one patient, one saliva sample, two results in minutes ?
