Sharee options galore for the william top boys and girls. Breach of duty to shareholders.
I would hope some of the major shareholders would vote against this e.g. the Done brothers.
where is the valuation of the US business in that price. Unreal how they talked about realising shareholder value etc.
William hill are having us over with 272. Joke
I think you need to do your math again as such an increase in the dollar price would meant the UK price goes over £5.
As long as the bidders are prepared to pay a fair value, which they should be, then a deal should be done. With 2 bidders involved it is more likely that one of them will offer fair value. Minimum £5
3.00 was the first day of trading after the news broke, shares rarely hit the price offered on the first day as its just that.. an initial guess. There will have been lots of people selling to take profits but on the other had some instructions buying as they have a better idea of the end game. Next week i expect a further increase as there is a better understanding of the value and therefore probable offer.
Pmoran... totally with you but I have no doubts that the there is no possibility of the william hill board accepting anything less than fair value, irrespective of where the share price might be sitting due to a pandemic. The price will have to include fair value for what they have now in the USA plus some for the potential. They will not imo accept anything below £5.
Surely any approach has to be nearer to £5 as the potential is huge and the existing business is in good shape.
Any business that is serious does not approach a company like william Hill with a daft offer. Discussions are ongoing so maybe they are not too far away.
2 bidders is really good news... don't under estimate this.
I wonder if investors chronicle will reaffirm their sell rating that they gave when it was 63p...
Ian... you saying a bid over £5 rejected ?
My plan is to get the maximum gain which is the price the board recommend to be accepted and I expect them to ensure we get fair value for what we have plus the potential.
Should say accepting not ceiling.
Apologies
Thats not a takeover value. There is no possibility of the William Hill board a ceiling a cash offer of £3 per share.
That price would give us something for the current US business and still leave the buyer plenty on the table.
