Close to another 6 months have gone by and no news yet on any testing or progress on increasing production . I would be delighted to hear news on 803 but suspect that will get kicked down the road. The theory of keeping the price low and doing more dilutive asset purchases at a depressed share price looks more and more credible. No news on CE either

The legal system is fickle and the strongest defence can be unlocked . I am assuming the plaintiffs must have decided to proceed having been advised that there is a chance they win ?

Have we an actual date set in court

If the RNS was part of a plan to limit good news to keep the share price depressed to do more deals then they are doing an amazing job

I am not laughing about anything. You can talk about bopd , cheap assets, past deals but a the end of the day opinions are worth nothing if market values current assets and future cash flows at 2.3 p . The company is the same price is was 5 years ago .

When I say lousy I should qualify by saying that I fervently hope in the future they may be valuable but as a snap shot of today’s price the read across is currently not favourable. We all know they could be productive but the company can’t seemingly get them there .

Somm. Them depressing the shares to swap out 2nd rate assets in paper at depressed levels is the most interesting comment I have read on this thread. I think that could be an entirely plausible explanation. That means the big holders interests are aligned with ours ie share price goes higher at some stage. This does not guarantee the price goes up as they still have to get some oil flowing . But at least might explain away these lousy deals and lack of any updates.

They need to hire more board members with proven expertise and value creation in the oil industry. Clearly the current structure cannot deliver at acceptable levels.

Constant repetition does indeed improve one’s skills levels. Golf is a good example. Going out to the range and repeatedly hitting balls leads to more consistency and a higher level of performance. Clive’s repeated failures with the drill bit and updating the market is similar. He is now getting better at it

With our shares up 3.5 % in 5 years I’m not sure what the company that hired CC imagine they are getting.

Clive getting a new job is very interesting. We hope Caspian makes progress , news comes out which is positive and share price goes up etc. But with the share price where it is and the progress that has been made operationally that is not the case . So if that’s what the new company want and CC has not or can’t deliver that then why hire him? The answer is it’s a titular role that’s ticks a compliance or structural function. Him getting a new job will make no difference at all .

with out recognising the thus far unsuccessful management who have singularly failed to deliver - see share price trading at the lows - is as you say as unproductive as damning negativity. I assume every on the board want 1 thing which is a resounding success . I agree opinions on both sides gives a more balanced board. Sceptism and optimism in equal

Any news on selling the CE or renting it out?

Even by the managements standards the flow of announcements and progress is glacially slow . Almost 5 months in to the year and the share price is basically the all time low give or take . And basically back to where we were pre suspension.

The big question is do they have a plan to unlock the value? Why would you get 50% of the company unless you wanted to get the price up ? I don’t believe they take the company out as they could have done it years ago .

Shares down 33% ytd. Market cap in gbp is the same level

as the company value of CE is usd terms. Means you basically get all the oil assets and existing production for nothing .

Company buys assets with precious cash in areas they have no experience from sellers who are conflicted. This deal is unusual as the shares are up on the day.

PS in the last 8 years the bought has been leased 2 times. Can’t rent it , can’t sell it . Genius

Well done Grister stick to your guns. Open debate about the positives and negatives of a share make for a useful Board. Berating anything that’s negative looks desperate and personalising posts backfires as well . Who was the poster who lived in Poland and daily posted the most upbeat , sensationalist posts that after a period became meaningless. It’s 2 way open debate that’s most useful . At the end of the day you can post what you like , put any price target on the share you like , criticise who ever you choose for disagreeing with you but at the end of day it’s pretty much irrelevant. It’s reserves and production that get the price up sustainably

It was bought for 160 m shares at 12 p in 2020 so around $25 m . It has been rented out once in 6 years in 2024 for a gross profit (not net ) of $3.8 m in 2024 to ENI who have since left Kazakhstan . Naturally if asked whether the boat will be rented out this year they would reply they are in talks. The seller at the time probably knew that the prospects of rental were limited as the it took 4 years to rent it out post sale. If they are in talk to sell 50 % that’s great but as we know it is only worth what buyers are prepared to pay . So the question is what would an investor pay for an asset that returns on average $600 k annually less on going maintenance with no firm contracts going forward but is in “talks” ?

Very encouraging post . I do feel that the opportunities presented by CE abd minerals should not be overplayed. The boat was too expensive at time of purchase albeit in shares. There was no clear revenue stream and at was passed as the owner could not afford the on going maintenance.

Oil Production has remained static for as long as I can remember and that track does not lend itself to branching in to the mineral space. What ever skills the management have should we focussed on oil. It smacks of desperation
