Last time it got to these and above these levels it just shot up in a day, then came the board comment that they did not know any reason for the increase in SP, then collapse. This feels right, feels solid.
Edging up (!) despite the large spread, nice.
It's a gamble. Offer 165, as soon as the vote/meeting happens, you can wait for the admin to take place and get 165 or you can sell immediately at a marginal loss. However, between now and the meeting there is a chance of a rival bid. So that's the gamble.
..to sell at this stage unless you need the money.
Needs shareholder approval. Still time for a rival bid.
Nice summary W-W. The Board is in the know and can only act in the best interests of the company. Their recommendation is to accept the offer because that is the only offer on the table. If there are any other interested parties (a real possibility) they will surface before the vote.
Why not? Bunzl may declare its intention. Don't forget the current CEO has moved over from Bunzl. If the situation was a done deal the shares would be trading lower.

http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-3430407/MARKET-REPORT-Rumours-rife-Michael-Roney-one-final-interesting-acquisition-sleeve-quitting-chief-executive-Bunzl.html old news but with the recent CEO (ex Bunzl) appointment, the recent closure of two other Bunzl acquisitions and the currently attractive Brammer valuation surely it's got to be a real consideration now. Share price continues to creep up daily.
I know little about the market but like Rare Earth this is creeping up daily. With the relatively low share price maybe and the recent CEO (ex Bunzl) change maybe there is some merits in a Bunzl acquisition.
As stated in the half year report the 3rd quarter is expected to be strong with revenues up 10% on the same quarter last year. Perhaps we may even see better numbers posted as the board is HIGHLY confident of meeting market expectations for the year. How long before we hit £8? Not long I expect as only another 7% rise...we could see that with great results next week.
Teradyne big enough (acquired Litepoint for $510m in 2011). Teradyne knows the markets (seasonal declines & volatilities). Anite has premium products/software. Synergies would bring huge cost savings. Teradyne is quoted as saying that it has ambitious growth targets. Price must now be seriously attractive.
Expect to see a significant rebound before close. In for a few k more...greedy but not stupid.
booming. William Hill & others roaring ahead. Ladbrokes obviously doing something wrong..big time. I play online and have 'dumped' Ladbrokes because of two things 1) lack of trust (this is a main factor for consideration for online players) and 2) their patronising attitude to a genuine query that I had. I used to complete monthly online surveys for them (won £20 Amazon voucher) but have sworn not to bet with them online or in the shops again. So in my experience, supported by how bad they are managing their online business , Ladbrokes is rock bottom with only one way they go (up) and as soon as the share price starts to turn I'll get in big time.
What a baby this share is. It just keeps growing under the radar. Invested hugely and loving it. Yes. I've had a drink tonight!
52 week high achieved again but would be nice to fly on past. Always a strong buy.
very little volume. Speaks volumes!
....there is more to come. Strong , profitable company. Problems identified and successfully changing direction. Just look at the year high...we are going back there!
Directors buy in. Shares recover 10% over the last two days. Solid company, problems identified and strategy aligned. We will get back to where we were just shortly. The fall on the results was over-cooked.
