I don't know why but I'm feeling more confident on reading this article. I think they will turn this around. I had RR. and also panicked months back and they sold off non core assets. But they have now sky rocketed with the new contracts. There are so many FTSE shares due for short selling and this seems to have been the weakest link. But I suspect we will find love for them again soon but will be a rocky road.
This stock is like a bucking bronco. I didn't sell but felt had to cover my losses else where sadly with a sale of Rolls Royce profits today. I am certain pfc stock will recover but will take another 8 months before we see the headline news articles on Motley Fool piling in the good news to buy. They have a lot of potential and its a waiting game. Best to wear a blindfold for the coming months plus ask the good fairies to grant some positive vibes and credit. Loving informative updates from Friday to hold. You know who you are. Knowledge is key in this game and a headless chicken isn't of much help.
Makes total sense what your saying Johnychainlocker. I keep looking for press updates but nothing to indicate why such a large fall. Must be inside information and if so hope they get a kicking... This board of directors could at least send out a positive update. The wait goes on until the 20 December.
I've just came back from France and they are striking like crazy within the airline industry. Like you said if you don't like the pay skip off and find another job. I'm sorry but this crisis has been created by the Government over taxing the sector. Petrofac is a service sector and the contracts agreed with the oil industry will dictate the wages.
This stock is clearly a waiting game. One may needs balls of steel, but sure to turn golden. Strikes not helping create a united front. If I was issuing the contracts I would be asking they sort out their house first.
I think we need a new Board of Directors to clean out the dead wood and manage the Net Contribution Margins. Costs seems to be spiralling and reducing profits. Sorry for the negative vibe.
