Only if it is duel listed. If it was not listed on TSX, it would be free of stamp duty
At least they can go into a Share ISA and hence all gains free of tax. That wasn’t always the case.
Hi Lee, hope you are keeping well. I love the part it mentions " Once production starts, massive amounts of cash will flow back into the company's coffers. Its investors could simply lean back and enjoy receiving dividends. However, it's more likely they will receive a bid for the company sometime during the coming 12-18 months". Fingers crossed, I will get more time on the golf course next year!
I wonder what company this could be???

Andrew, the £2M was a subscription by Galloway Limited, a limited company which is wholly owned by Burnbrae Group Limited, which is in turn wholly owned by Jim Mellon. Those shares coupled with the director shares totalled just short of 5M shares. The remainer of approx 4.5M shares were purchased by other investors/institutional investors.
I wouldn’t disregard a toll milling agreement yet either. It was still on the last presentation last month and the placing gives a clear message to Calibre / Mako we are pushing on with or without their money. They will have to explain to their shareholders why spare capacity wasn’t taken up by a toll agreement. Condor need to be tough to get a fair deal in place. I would like to know if we still have any NDA’s in place.
Agree, we are in safe hands. The other investors I believe will be investment houses ‘ Fund managers. IMHO.
Awax, I think a toll deal would have happened if B2Gold had stayed. They were impressed with the core samples they took, but their company went in another direction. Calibre want us, but on the cheap. I think Rio will be pulling the strings there.
I can’t see it happening BigDog. We are so close to big news now. If an MBO was going to happen it would of happened way before now. Mark talks about shareholder value and continues to attend roadshows. This placing was for 9.5 million shares, of which 5 million were subscribed to by directors and CFO. The remaining shares have gone to institutional investors. I don’t think we would have sold to institutional if they thought an MBO was on the cards.
With 75 staff now on the payroll, 2 drill rigs on the go, land clearing, land purchase, tree purchase, tailings storage facility , surface water management system etc our cash burn has to be the highest it has been since the start of the project. With no income from sales yet a placing was inevitable. 42p was a fair price, and has many have posted on here, no warrants attached. Forward selling of the gold would have been done at a premium, so this was probably the best option. It’s one less thing to worry about. Imminent news of land purchase completion, mill deposit and drilling results to come. The SP will only be improving from now on in my opinion. As for the talk of this project going private, not a chance!
Seingred, Market has to be notified as each whole percent crossed, from 3%, up or down. So next threshold is 4%. Under 3% no notification required.
Condor gets a mention:

Good find cambells
Sam those trades were reported. They were from the 11th Feb
What I don’t understand is it appears buys heavily outnumbered sells today, approx 340K buys to 100k sells, yet we go down 4%. Of that 340K of buys, 240k were announced after the bell, although have a trade time of around 1pm. Looking on London Stock Exchange they are listed as Large in scale deferral. For some reason they have been allowed to defer announcing those buys until market had closed. Why and what criteria has to be met to defer announcing a trade? Anyone know anything about LRGS trades? The fact buys outstripped sells but SP dropped leads me to believe the MM’s have more to sell.
We seem to be getting a number of trades showing up well after the bell, those 2 buys are from lunchtime, and made no impact on share price. There has to be a seller still in the background, likely to be Ross?
Sell out completely
Ok sorry mis understood your first post. I. Read it as selll ought completely!
I think it would take a little longer to dump 5.5 million shares on the market!
