I would say that the dividend date (the date that holders of the share will be entitled to a dividend upon it and the date the share goes ex-div) will be the same day that it is declared. I think it could be back dated a day or two (from memory so don't quote me), it won't be in the future causing a mental buying spree. Basically holders will be presented with a fait a complit. You will be in, or you will be out.
