I wonder how long it takes to clear 16 million shorts.
Where's this frigging bounce that was supposed to come? lol
Why will it definitely drop more? I thought people on here were calling the 8s area the bottom.
True, it's not a huge amount. And private buying has been decent recently. Still a pain though, like an annoying wasp on the beach.
Teasybee: Ah, so they were buys! Lucky timing. I hadn't realised. Yes, it makes sense around that time.
Thanks for replying, more for the company than anything else! Have a good weekend.
They've widened it back now. It was at one point 2.89% spread for a brief time.
If anyone's interested. Spread discussion anyone? Anyone at all?
Ho hum. God, I'm bored.
I think I have ever seen on BOR.
PS: If that 500k share trade just now was a buy (which I presume it was), I wonder why the frigging price doesn't move up a notch.
Thanks lonlonuk. I was trying to understand their late motivation here and your post has helped.
I added last night at 0.80495 and would take some more in the 7s.
I know it's a risky situation here but let's hope Duffy comes good. I still keep in mind his purchase of approx. £51k a few weeks ago which I presume was outside any closed period. Now, he would have to be goofy to mess up on Monday.
Broker notes also inspire somewhat.
Anyone know why Winton/Millennium would increase their shorts by a small amount if they were not planning for an attack on the 7s?
Or is this not how it works? Perhaps to scare buyers out of buying?
I make no apologies for asking what may be a dumb question.
hey george, same for me, I wont be able to make london but I am looking forward to reading details as they come through. It was good to hear a confident and robust tone. ATB
It seems to be the A trades doing the damage, the buying on the O side seems quite healthy to me.
garyn: A bit worrying. The L2 order book can't always be spoofed though surely. Sometimes it must be a true and accurate representation of the state of supply/demand on the order book? Otherwise people would catch on, wouldn't they? Surely spoofing takes place only occasionally. I rely on it quite a lot but do see what you mean about the order book turning/flipping in seconds though.
The ticker tape must be right though? Suresly!
It is amazing how, after a 45% loss, a 2.46% increase in the share price can put a spring back in the step.
BBN: Thanks for your informative posts this afternoon, and for pointing out the broker reiteration which I hadn't noticed and made me a lot happier.
CD: I will look into that post, i am finding it fascinating stuff at the moment.
I went for some more after all just on the bell at 8.0495. No idea obviously if it is perfectly-timed, nor do I much care, but will take some more if we go lower. ATB
The buying which kicks in at this level is perhaps an indication that others think that the 7s threshold may now be a step too far. Some good-sized buys.
CD: The decrease in BOT ferocity recently has been palpable as the players reduce and leave the stage. Thanks again for your take on these issues over the last few days which has been of help to me. I have L2 myself but only recently and am still getting used to using it.
And PEEL back at the top with 31.50 again.
And a buy at 32p.
Here here. Or hear hear, depending on your preference.
