Massive volume again today....hmmnn!
Crazy amount today for POG if whats reported is correct....thats about £1.5m value if my maths is correct.
Lots of shares traded this afternoon. Interesting to see which direction this moves...I dont think it will continue in the recent narrow range. Lets hope its north!
Elements of IRC appear head scratching at first thought. But the business is in a much better place now than 18 months ago...as is POG.
Large amount traded today...more interest in this share? Short term obstacles aside, interested to know views of others on where the SP could go to? 10-15p range? 15-20p range? If the stars align that is!
Sale of airline; trading update; progress on joint ventures; cost reductions are just a few on a long list.
Lol! Well said.
Doubt it otherwise they wouldnt have secued financing so easily nor been allowed to press ahead with their capex/new projects! Mms played a blinder with this one today. Everyone knows news is coming so they lift the price up early trading to suck in a few and then sell it back down. This is the way it will pan out until the next update. If shorts have increased that wont help either.
They are moving on...but it will be a gradual process. The business is being reshaped with the reduction in the old high street presence and increasing online capability and higher spec hotels etc. Wont happen overnight nor without the odd bump in the road. Long term play for me.
I'm with you Rusty...although thanks RB for sharing the info. Always good to think about alternatives...DYOR of course. Looking at macro stuff I can see global equities having a final bull run sometime 2019 before we enter the downward part of the economic cycle. It shouldnt be a sharp decline like we have seen before...but i may be wrong. There will of course be a flight to safety and others assets will become flavour including gold which should bode well for POG...caveated with no shocks to the business. Personally I am all in cash other than a smallish remaining POG holding. There are a few shares out there which look attractive to me both large and small caps...but having had a very good trading period I cant bear the thought of a market downturn and chucking away profits!! Only my views.
Progress will be made on the core business...POX can only improve it thats for sure. IRC needs to sort its act out...its had plenty of time. This is still a long term play for me...I regularly look in to keep up to date...but my shares are really bottom of the drawer!
Would be way north of here without the IRC noose. POG makes a profit and with p/e of 10:1 gives a little indication of value here. As a LTH I do get frustrated from time to time that the SP doesnt seem to reflect the progress we have made...but its better than 5-6p for sure. Patience, patience lol
Agreed. II's do it all the time...pick a 'weak' looking stock and deramp it. Look at BATS 12 month chart. Just stay patient peeps...they will want to make money off TCG over the next 12 months or so. All part of the investing rollercoaster
The 12p Berenburg is showing on the HL broker update dated today. They have gone long on TUI with target price of +50%? So their tactic is clear...ramp one and short the other. Donuts!
12p target...where did they pluck that number from? They are obviously going short and hoping to drive the price lower. They may get their short term fill (along with other institutions) but they wont have it all their own way for long. Hold for gold!
Panic selling an asset? Thats what big companies do peeps. They evolve and change with the times. Honestly some of the posts on here. Look at WTB selling a huge brand in Costa...they did it to cash in and then focus on their core business. Good move by TCG I say...focus on higher margin sectors. All looks good for a long term hold for me.
Ive dipped my toe into FEVR for the first time. It maybe a bumpy ride over the next few months but current price too attractive. The 'negative' comments by some are welcomed as they balance views and produce a healthy debate. In my opinion the reward is worth the risk - the company is expanding into new markets, formed new partnerships, debt free whilst seeking to maintain its core value/brand. Has more chance of blossoming than falling from its perch. Just my view and see as a medium term investment. Will add more if it drops to low 20s
Agreed. Pay off debt/reduce risk before even thinking about divis! Capital growth is the incentive to invest in this...not a token dividend!
Yes market has given this the thumbs up...no more false dawns!
Agreed. The improved stability and derisking should attract new investors. I expect this to now gradually grow and grow. Its been a long wait!
