Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Well Sain do you still think the BOD’s are the best thing since sliced bread? Not withstanding the obvious having managed to destroy the share price over many years they now give the company away. This is an agreed deal which has obviously been in the works for some time so big questions over the recent integrity of podcasts and announcements. It will be interesting to see who stays on board because at this stage it looks like we have all been thrown under the bus to secure a healthy pay check for those within the company.
It also shows how relatively pointless the client advice from analysts. They have 20/20 hindsight on price targets. It’s like a pundit saying Watford will win 3 nil then every time someone scores they change their tune.
If the announcement for partner is imminent why on earth not realease this information at the same time. Seems irresponsible to me to be upbeat a week or so ago about the sale of Walthamstow then hit us with this gem. Pretty naive being confident of hitting the £50 million target again not so many weeks ago and then miss by not a couple of million but by £10. Too many on here give this share and the BODs a free pass.
No doubt it should be BUT we have had growth and what we all perceived as game changing and pivotal moments along the way. And what did that do to the SP which is frankly all we as investors care about ( ok dividend to ) . I have always been with you at a decent price I would like the decision to sell taken out of my hands.
Without wishing to be contentious as everyone has a right to their own view. You should be a politician using a figure like that! I bought some at 19p so what? That is not the point and your good self and everyone here know the reality. Look back at your “buy out soon posts” Terraces “jam tomorrow next year we’ll all be millionaires” or Stephs multi £5 plus soon over the decade ...this should be an investment not a hobby.
How many companies would you be so tolerant of when there has been no capital growth in share price terms for over a decade. If TEF were a Ryanair or a Philip Green company there would have been a mass baying for blood.
“Sometimes the value investors put on you is more about selling yourself rather than actual performance. Something TEF need to improve on?
Which is never likely to happen as our BOD’S are thoroughly decent human beings who are not motivated by individual wealth and as such the share price will never be that important to them.
But surely if we wait YET another 10 years the intrinsic value will reward those who wait. O what larks it is to invest and continue to lose money hand over fist. Warren Buffet needs to take tips from this LSE board LOL
Personally I just don’t get your philosophy but I respect of course your right to same. I have held since the very beginning and question daily why I didn’t sell much of my holding years ago. Investment is not about share price stagnation over multiple years irrespective of dividend. I find it frustrating the company grows but the share price goes nowhere or more accurately usually slips back after an announcement. You post multiple times that this is a long term share etc etc and one day you may be correct. You certainly have repeated it often enough and now you are our another 10 years. At my age I want to reap the rewards of my investment. 10 years will bring me in to leaving it to the kids territory. I kick myself that I didn’t sell a good percentage years ago ....and rebought on the dips...but there is always that sneaky feeling that one day the major announcent will come and their will be the giant leap. Pity 10 years on it still has not materialized .Still if I wait another 10 as you say......
I only look at the TEF related content of any post TEF which perhaps over the years I have owned has not been the smartest play.
Is Terrace signing in with a new identity? This is his post surely and must be copyrighted as it has been written so often over the last 11 years. LOL.
