I still feel that Newcrest could be intent on taking out CGP following their cash raise, given CGP's apparently weak position and the fact that Newcrest are already partnering with them in Ecuador and Chile.
RE: Newcrest raising $1bn for a material purchase30 Apr 2020 10:07
It is still my opinion that Newcrest will play a significant role with Solg. I too am invested both here and in GGP but I believe the potential with SOLG is in a different league altogether.
RE: $150m financing within next two weeks18 Apr 2020 11:50
I agree with iceberg, the last fundraise was necessary for the short term and astutely done with BHP. The forthcoming finance agreement will be substantial and apparently it's going to be concluded well within planned timescales. I've always been of the opinion that financial certainty would give the sp a boost.
Another steady step forward for us. Hopefully this year's newsflow is now well and truly in progress. "Alpala's concentrate is likely to establish itself as a premier global concentrate coveted by smelters" The future is looking very bright and the patience of LTHs will be well rewarded.
Very reassuring and nice to see 20p again! Looking forward to further good news and stability in the coming months. GLA, stay safe and keep doing the right things.
Seems to me there's a clear message to CGP in the business update with strong references to finalising a funding package for Solgold's 85% share of both pre-development costs and longer term development capital expenditure.
I was responding to the original post by BN.C. The timetable hasn't changed since the last presentation. So much happening behind the scenes in the real world.
Timetable appears unchanged, certainly for 2020. Alpala resource update, PFS, Conditional finance package, Fiscal negotiations, Off-take discussions all to come. Big year for Solg investors.
