Jeez it’s not hard to understand. They flogged a dead horse for $3.6 million… making $1.1 million profit…

$ 2 million of the sale price went to pay down part of $6 million borrowed in August for all the new shiny Komatsu Trucks and plant…therefore reducing that debt.

They then also sold the 3 old CAT trucks for $300,000 as they are no longer required due to the arrival of NEW trucks.

So the overall figure of circa $1.4 million will go into the working capital account.

Just because they are passing homes doesn’t mean people are using their services. In fact those getting triple and quad play from providers are far more likely to remain with their current provider wether on copper or fibre. Imo.

You don’t need to speak to someone unless it’s a complaint everything is automated. You can even report a fault by text and it tests your line and tells u what’s going to happen next… it’s brilliant.

Meoryou… OR have a fantastic data advantage over every Altnet that uses their PIA apart from VM02.

OR are using their own workforce as well as another 12 contractors building the spine. SKY are already in partnership with OR doing the customers end while OR/Contractors do the external only. This is a great advantage to BT.

In the North East, 3 Altnets are on the OR access network currently but the take up is less than 1percent. That’s not sustainable. The timeline is in 5-6 years bulk migration from copper to fibre will happen and the Altnets will run off with their grants and VM and OR BT will carry on as normal
