Hl have applied a cost value of £16.9538 per share to the WDS shares.
Does anyone know how this was arrived at or calculated ?
Spoken to HL and they say this value was driven by BHP and had little to do with them.
Any help would be appreciated
Hl have paid divi into may account. What i did notice though those people who elected to have their dividends paid in sterling got nearly 26p a share more than the uk dividend. Does anyone know why this is ? I think it may be to do with Australian Dollar Rate uk got 306.72p those who elected to be paid in GBP £ got 331.?? per share. Its similar on Special Divi as well.
Pardriff Any ideas what will happen to the share price of BHP when they drop out of the FTSE100 or should I sell now and buy
back again later when they become BHP LTD. I am expecting the share price to drop because the fund managers that track FTSE100 company's will be forced to offload their holdings.
Has anyone had their Bonus Shares or cash in lieu of them. Hargreaves Lansdown not allocated either to my account and do not seem to have any idea when its going to happen. Hope they Will not renege on this as it puts them and FSF in the position of breaching the contract
As far as I am aware there is no withholding tax on BHP as it is listed on the London Stock Exchange. BHP goes XD on 02/09/2021 and will announce on 6th September 2021 the Currency Election Date the currency conversion rate it will use for the LSE & ASX and it will also stipulate how much it will be paying in the local currency as well. I have held BHP shares for a number of years and the rate stipulated is what I receive multiplied by the number of shares I hold. I hold my shares in a SIPP and just like the ISA it is totally tax free. I have only ever paid withholding tax on IAG which is Spanish and Dividends paid in Euro's and as a consequence hold back 19% and a currency conversion fee on top even if held in an IS or SIPP. There are tax treaties in place where the nominee could if they did the paperwork claim back a proportion of the withheld tax but i have yet to find one that does. AS BHP listed on LSE there should be no problems holding it within an ISA hopes this helps.
Hargreaves Lansdown seem to be behind the curve on most things at present. Messaged them recently and they said it could be another month before we get our card. Annoying as they know the expiry dates of the old cards so you think they would plan ahead. HL do not seem to be giving very good customer service at present. Not yet taking share certificate lodgements and this has been going on for over 12 mths also slow transferring pensions and most other things as well .
