"Construction for Tesla's new factory, located close to the airport on the eastern outskirts of Austin and projected to cost $1.1 billion, began during the summer of 2020. The company is expected to receive nearly $65 million in local tax rebates for the factory, which Tesla said will create some 10,000 jobs, most of them low skilled."
ice "But the Tesla semi will have some features the existing ICE truck builders of America will struggle to compete with...esla have FSD"
You do know that Tesla FSD is not actually FSD at all. ( i think they have admitted it is at best Level 2)
btw, there are plenty of situations where electric truck engines will just not have the power or torque to compete with ICE truck engines ( i think this was pointed out before), so again there won't be complete EV domination in this field like you claim.
And then taking this further, are you even sure that Electric is even as Green as it claims to be. Hydrogen of course is the real Green deal, so EV will just be a plug gap in the evolution to real green technology, like CDs were on the way from vinyl to DVD)

Dog "There is a sodding great factory in Austin Texas "
I'm not doubting that it will be made. I'm saying there is plenty of doubt , for me at least, that the "sheet metal trapezoid truck" will be a success though.
Btw , why does it need bullet proof windows ?
"You seem to doubt that the Tesla Semi will be made w"
Nope, that's not what i'm doubting. I'm questioning ice's " certainty of success" stance (sic "they are going to take over the use trucking market") on something that hasn't yet even been made. Certainties are the hallmark of amateurs (not my words btw)
Regarding the "trapezoid made of sheet metal" , was it not 2 years ago it was unveiled. When was it's delivery date supposed to be btw.
But still, no room for doubt.
ice "They are going to take over the US TRUCKING market with their "Semi" electric lorry transport solution"
Something that hasn't been built yet there's seems to be no doubt in your mind ice... 100% certainty and we haven't even seen it yet... red flags city.
"ersonnel think covid sell off way"
Why did RR suffer from a Covid sell off and no other shares did
Interesting enough, they certainly talk a good game about how Tesla has an unassailable lead and how nobody understands that Tesla has a superior product. And if I didn't know anything about Tesla I would certainly be interested.
Until that is, somebody showed me Elon's electric truck which is a trapezoid made of sheet metal, and then I was able to say , compare it to the GM Truck

At that point I would have questioned everything they say in the interview. Superior Product ha ha
i think online betting is getting more popular everywhere too. esp UK, but in europe there are huge untapped markets like Germany too. People are realising that a wee bet can be quite fun.
Can't see an explanation for the fall today. Can anyone enlighten me ?
thx

Dog " I say again where has Tesla or Elon Musk received special assistance "
Dog, the point is more about the huge total amounts that the Subsidy Truffel Hound has sniffed out. Huge amounts, as by the quote "“He definitely goes where there is government money,”
However in terms of special assistance I think the New York situation where "New York state is spending $750 million to build a solar panel factory" would count as a bespoke deal that the Truffel hound negociated.

onlybpc "i see the name change,..the spots havent"
only the spots were spot on.
ok, i've got a few 888 shares, and they've done very well. Looks like i'll be stumping up for the rights issue too then.
Food for thought
