Nothing new at all in that as far as I can gather. I'd be livid if they hadnt progressed as they have indicated hence just assumed business as 'normal' as per other previous guidance hence from my perspective no news in this? Here's hoping it may cease the continual share price decline though!!

Drewky the farm out could only deal with the equity taken over by zubs. Any other partners would still get their relevant splits. What u are suggesting would not be normal practise and would have to be specifically part of the farm out / in arrangements. If I were zubs I would just request normal practise and considering the situation aex were in I doubt they were able to dictate terms. To be honest guys solo funding whilst important isn't 'really' the jv concern. As I've said b4 I've worked on ventures when the smaller potentially 'cash problematic' partner was squeezed for business reasons and I've even worked on ventures where they were squeezed for personal reasons because the relevant leader didn't like the smaller company personnel!! Me I'd squeeze them for an early spud new year because at this juncture they may be able to squirm / delay out for 'technical' reasons I will bother to go into. But to be honest they should have an easier route for funding once the farm in signed, so if they can't arrange that, the jv don't need to worry as they cash call then declare non payment notice. This had been chatted about a lot, sometime ago and one punter on here brought up a different Nigerian case which didn't work out in that manner however if handled properly which I would expect the zubs would do I doubt this will be problematic at all. All imho.

Guys it doesn't go back to the operator!! Normally or ordinarily the remaining partners including govt. take over the share in their respective equity splits. If one party does not want their equitable share then it is divided up again in the the remaining respective equity splits. That is normal practise anyway and would be very surprised if different!!

Tanzania it's actually up today and I believe a lot of holders on there are 4 baggers. There is absolutely no comparison between the two companies as very different but the mgt team have got to be one of the most respected in the industry for the companies they have set up previously? A truly excellent experienced innovative team and holders on here would do well to do a bit of research on that company and what they have achieved to date!!

Hi Tanzania yes I have them but to be honest their sale is linked to crystalling tax losses in my non ISA portfolio. Nothing more or less. When the appropriate time comes I'll sell. I'd like to apologise to the board though, as this certainly isn't a true example of real life 'me' (I'm much more 'mental' irl lol!). Why can't we just drop derogerotory remarks about vultures and shorters and then that negates the need for equivent knee jerk reactions as well? If I were reading this bb, I'd take more notice of someone with 25 + specific industry experience, who has turned down 2 significant 6 figure job offers and the opportunity to try and float an already operating oil company on UK stock exchange from a well known (in his country) entrepreneur im the last 6 months. But wtfdik lol!! Again wtgr do you expect me to waste anymore time explaining conceptual principles to a chap who didn't even know how to apportion possible govt share on a development licence? Simple, at the end of the day if risks and mitigation strategies have not been put in place someone has to take the responsibility (if they are given the authority to run the show!!). Ah CP thanks for that clarification, ok well that's something then because, basically zubs have been the saviour of aex because, probably by the time of their arrival, things had already been 'ruined' by what I assume the likes of BH and his chosen strategy for AEX had achieved, as per my earlier post? Again as ever all imho and it is only my opinion!!

Actually not so sure about this. My own experience is that such relationships are generally based on professionalism and confidence in the individuals concerned. I have seen this many times when a fantastic asset manager has been replaced with one, let's say less so and, the 'relationship' with nocs / relevant ministries changed during this period as they appeared to be stepping back and asking, "whose this mug we've been palmed off with"? This then made everything more difficult to progress and slowed (all) things down considerably. Obviously 'personalities' also play an important factor in this but at the end of the day if they muck up or under deliver enough times eventually patience is lost? Basically get someone in who is obviously good, experienced and knows their stuff and a good relationship will be built anyway. As I say all imho and opinion.

Drewky you're incredible mate. How many times have I told you their 'strategy' was flawed from day one!! They should have worked the g&g prospects and sold these to the market from day one. They should have realised a long time ago they simply did not have the breadth of operated experience or the 'connections' required to make the 'strategy' that they were following work, which appeared to be, ..."we know what we are doing, we can go it alone as long as possible as operators because we are better than others at doing so and then realise more value for share holders than farm out earlier and move on"... They should have recruited a young ambitious (this is the important bit) well connected deal making entrepreneur who could have 'sold' what seem to be quite reasonable assets to mid size higher risk operators. By the way and this is a serious question, as I hear it offerred all the time that JB was the reason why zubs came on board. Where has this definitively been stated by the company or is it just free bb pub fact? Serious question, perhaps zubs were looking at aex anyway? I don't know I'm only asking. All above imho of course.

Gaslady maybe they shouldn't have got themselves in such a mess in the first place to drive the sp down to 0.65 in the first place? I dunno....
