RE: Are the Russians that keen on EV's6 Aug 2019 10:44
Thanks for proving my point.. coz I don't see the Russians sacrificing their oil industry and current car industry on the campfire of Russian EV car production of about 1200 cars p.a.
What is interesting is that Norilsk nickel production has fallen by 32% since 2008 https://www.statista.com/statistics/533223/nickel-production-of-norilsk-nickel/ while Russian oil production hit an all time high last December.. which 'could' indicate the Russians are getting the black stuff out of the ground into the market asap.. while hanging on to their nickel ''Crude Oil Production in Russia averaged 8408.67 BBL/D/1K from 1992 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 11051 BBL/D/1K in December of 2018 and a record low of 5707 BBL/D/1K in May of 1998.'' with the lower oil price being counter balanced by a cheap rouble. (USD/RUB close:65.23527 low:35.98406 high:82.28121) The devaluation of the rouble is a godsend... (human rights, freedom of the press, democracy etc.. what here in the UK?)
